Initial thoughts... subject to change!

For tags?

Landuse=observatory

observatory=astronomical_radio

For 'the area'?

Either

a site relation with each antenna, building etc?

or

a simple enclosing way?

Oh,
thanks for picking up on the cycleway .. some how I must have missed it? (slaps head).

You mean to combine
Wanda Reserve with Don Lucas Reserve?

They look to be separately named ..
http://www.sutherlandshire.nsw.gov.au/Outdoors/Parks-and-Playgrounds/Parks/Don-Lucas-Reserve-Cronulla
http://www.sutherlandshire.nsw.gov.au/Outdoors/Parks-and-Playgrounds/Parks/Wanda-Reserve

As for the third area to the north .. I think some of that should be included in the above 2 parks .. but there does not look to be a good boundary for the Wanda Reserve .. possibly for the Don Lucas Reserve .. looks like a fence line could be used.

The third area to the north looks to have several 'names' in OSM .. 'Greenhills' and 'Wanda Sand Hills' appear on the map.

Hi,
Way: 329603088 is not a lake. It is a poor representation of the Diamantina River bank.

Altering.

Hi,
The changeset comment does not relate to this change set.
You are introducing a new feature.
Please read osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

Hi,
Looking on Ersi Imagery Clarity .. I can see scattered vegetation and areas that I recognize as red sand...not all of this is 'bare rock'.

Take a camera/phone to do the street signs.. much quicker than writing it down. I prefer a small pocket camera with a zoom.

Hi,
Welcome to OSM...

But umm changes to what? And why?
This looks to have broken the boundary for Denistone East ..
Ok I have fixed that now.

65265405 about 7 years ago

These are not boundaries.

They are buildings.

Yet to see a simple way of mapping boundaries in OSM. And a better source that the LPI Imagery is the LPI Base Map. If you want to add boundaries .. don't change the buildings. Separate things. And what tags are you going to use???

Reverted.

Hi,
Barriers are physical barriers to prevent access .. see barrier=*

Please use the OSMwiki to find things. Use the OSMAustraliaTalk group to ask local questions. See https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
Property boundaries are not something OSM does.

PS
Now shows up nicely on

Wrong.

A relation is not tagged on away.

You need to create a relation... it is not a node or a way (a line) .. so read up on how to do that with ID ...I don't use ID so cannot help you there
This might help
https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/58270/how-i-can-create-relation-in-id-editor
And for the relation itself

Hi
golf=bunker will not render. If it is sand then natural=sand may render.

The relation has been corrected. No tags on the outer way.

64278126 about 7 years ago

Hi,
This does not appear in Bing Imagery nor in any other imagery that OSM has.
You also list a kml file .. is this from a personal survey using a GPS?

64888159 about 7 years ago

Oh,
The reason why I did this .. 2 Germany tourist lost the path and died out here .. the coroners report just came out.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-11-26/german-tourists-died-central-australia-walked-17km-heat-stress/10554408

64888159 about 7 years ago

Thanks for that.
The 'pointer' is an arrow pointing the direction .. see osmc:symbol=*#Label_foreground Note that the colours used here are not ones that OSM uses.. don't know if I want to go with an approximation of the colour. Thoughts?

Reverted.
Any school project should not require the entry of fictional data in to OSM.

Multipolygons!!!

These relations have tags in the relation.

Those tags should NOT be duplicated on the member ways.

---------------------------- Start from scratch?
First ... forget the multipolygon.

Tag the swimming pools correctly as simple ways with leisure=swimming_pool.

The pools will now render.

-----------------
Wait a day .. see the pools rendered?

I have deleted the old relation and concrete pedestrian area so as to make it simple.

Once you have the pools rendered.. then

Make one outer way for the concrete area. Only one way all the way around the outside of the concrete area. Do not put any tags on it at all.

Then in a new relation
place tags inside the relation (not on any way) for the pedestrian concrete area relation type multipolygon. Ok.
Now make the swimming pools members in the relation with the role 'inner'.
Now make the single outer way that has no tags but is the outer of the pedestrian area a member in the relation with the role 'outer'.
Done.

-----------------
Relations are not that hard. Concentrate on one of them and get that done right before you make more of them..
A relation/9075294 you made has been corrected ... you may find more of your relations have been corrected by others too. But you need to get to grips with them so others are not put to work correcting these relations for you.

I would think it is accidental!
When you had selected various nodes/ways .. they were then dragged to the west some 30 metres err yards. It is fairly easy to do .. JOSM warns you if you have over 30 nodes selected .. but less than that and there is no warning.

Not following your work .. just picking up errors on OSMinspector and fixing them.

Fairly easy to correct this one .. once I realized what was going on. I think what you wanted to achieve is still there .. but I'm not certain .. that is why I told you about the change I made, so you can check it. If I'm confident that things are ok and not being repeated I just fix them and carry on.

Hi,
Welcome to OSM.
The name tag is for the name only, not a description. I have deleted this 'name'.
See name=*

The other problem here is that the 'path' is over the top of a footpath. What would have been better here would have been to separate the footpath into 2 sections and then edit the tags on the section you are interested in. However what I did was separate the footpath into 2 sections and delete the one you covered. While it looks nice on the map when you draw one thing over another routers get confused by it.

Keep mapping! Warning - it is additive.
