Hi,
The multipolygon relation for the shopping center is a duplication of an existing way... I have deleted it.

I have placed the shopping centre tags on the landuse=retail as that also covers the car parking.

I have then deleted the shopping centre tags on the building way ...

See how that goes?

Good luck. :)

Hi,
There is an error on way/1271141845. The JOSM validator would have told you 'crossing ways'.

You can find more HOT errors on https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=143.10960&lat=-3.52776&zoom=9&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

Hi,
via_ferrata is not a 'sport' but a path of some length. It does have problems... See highway=via_ferrata

And I'd tagged with access=private or access=customers...

Hi,
The multipolygon relation/17498626 Jirdarup Bushland Precinct brakes 'the rules' ...
The outer ways cannot share segments.

This 'only' has a name ... so there is no 'main tag' like park/reserve so it will never render... So .. what is it?

150155241 almost 2 years ago

Hi,
The inners added to relation/313532410 are outside the outer ... were they meant to be part of another relation???

And a field where sports are played (any where) are also called 'ovals' .. A plant, single trunked growing over 2 meters is called a 'tree' ...
From name=*

Do not use name=* if:
The feature is known by a generic term or description.

150026241 almost 2 years ago

Hi,
The tag 'sport=*' does not make sense. I have detailed the sport=field_hockey from bing imagery.
The tag 'leisure=court' is not valid .. replaced with leisure=pitch.

Hope that helps?

Hi,
Welcome to OSM!

Within OSM afl is called australian_football. See osm.wiki/Item:Q6816

The 'Oval' is not a 'name' but a 'description' ....

Hope that helps?

Note: Another mapper broke this relation which is what attracted my attention to it.
If it is mapped in a simple way it is easier for others to understand and therefore less likely to be broken.

The relation/9671460 ... Why?

Keep it simple... I have deleted the relation, combined the member ways into one way and tagged that way as residential.

Hi,
I have changed the relation to a type = site.
This enables the individual buildings to be better tagged ... for example not all the roofs are flat.

Hi,
I have changed the relation for the 'glasshouses' to a type = site. This enables the individual buildings to be better tagged - not all the roofs are flat for example.

The 'Big Desert Wilderness Park' ... has areas of sand... "area of sandstone ridges, sand dunes, mallee scrub and heath."
See https://www.wimmeramalleetourism.com.au/big-desert-wilderness-park/

Note that 'scrub' can be views as 'trees' in satellite imagery...
-35.673 140,950 and 35.755 141.060 looks to be sand to me...

Hi
Large parts of the tree areas mapped here don't have trees. It would be better to map them are multipolygon relations so that the holes in the tree areas can be added...

Hi,

Most buildings are 'square' their corners from right angles.
Some of your mapped building have very strange shapes - please take more care with your mapping. Do you have a task co ordinator? If so seek their assistance.

HI,
Most buildings are 'square' - their corners from right angles. Pressing the 'Q' key will square up your buildings while they are selected.

Hope that helps.

149582206 almost 2 years ago

HI,
Most buildings are 'square' - using right angles for their corners. Use the 'Q' key to square buildings when they are selected, this will improve your mapping.

Hope that helps.

149538212 almost 2 years ago

Advice?

If you cannot clearly see it, don't map it.

Most buildings are 'square' - using right angled corners. Use the 'Q' key to square up what you have mapped while the feature is seleted.

Hope that helps.
