You might want to copy the TfL Id to the correct stands so this doesn’t happen again.

This is a duplicate (but with an incorrect position - TfL’s data have placed them inside the supermarket!) of stands which are already on the map. Please delete.

There is a new large playground elsewhere in the park which I have just added to the map. This one must have been removed. I will delete it.

I’m here on the ground and this playground doesn’t seem to exist. Has it been removed?

Why is this still tagged as under construction when the Elizabeth Line entrance is now open and functioning?

Well spotted. It has lost a node! I will put it back. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I’ve just had a read of Mark’s blog and I can see he has a lot of experience with these kind of questions. I’ll defer to his judgement and revert my change.

There are 6 platforms at the station now. Two for the subsurface lines (Circle, H&C), two for London Overground and two for the Elizabeth Line. The former 4 are open to the public and mapped. The latter aren’t open yet and aren’t mapped.

In its previous configuration, the station had two additional subsurface platforms, but these lines have been removed and the former 4 platforms have been merged together to a single pair of platforms. There’s a very detailed description of the changes on the Wikipedia page for Whitechapel station.

I meant “motor_vehicle=no”

109964670 over 4 years ago

Thanks for implementing this so quickly!

Did you intend to have the “motor_vehicles=no” tag for the Aldwych? (Admittedly this is currently true while the works are in progress!)

That’s very helpful. Thanks! I will take a look in person soon and resurvey. I think, implicitly the shared space is likely to end at the corner of Selbourne Road, but the signage appears ambiguous and I want to take a close look in person to see if I can decipher what the council has in mind here.

I agree with you about the crossing to St Mary’s Road, before the rebuild of the square there was a direct cycle crossing here. Now, I suspect the only officially supported route is via the crossing South of the station.

105454194 over 4 years ago

Do you have evidence that cycling is allowed on the footpath and new square next to Walthamstow Central station? While I think this is a long term goal for this spot, there is no signage and I don’t think it has been implemented.

I have a photo of this letter box. Indeed it should be GVIR. I’ll correct it.

Sure thing. I’ll change this. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for spotting this! Fortunately I took a photo of the box and have just double checked. It was actually a very degraded EVIIR cypher. Will update!

Thanks! I just added the one next to Hale End Library too. There are quite a few more around Highams Park still to be added to the map, I think. My current focus is mainly on adding and updating Highams Park and Chingford Mount shops.

You are absolutely right! Added back. :-)

I don’t disagree with you, but here’s why I did it like this:

Many of the cycling modal filters around London have been marked as pedestrian ways so I am following that precedent. This isn’t incorrect as these are pedestrian paths too.

Regarding 4 paths in a cross vs 1 diagonal, I did this to avoid breaking any of the current through routes. A single diagonal path would be a more accurate representation.

Hi Mike,

This is a good point. I’ve edited this based on what I see on the ground. I am not connected to officialdom and have no way to check whether the
B road has been declassified or diverted. I suspect it has not, which is why I didn’t change the tag. There are more and more sections of road in London which were A or B roads and are now pedestrianised. Another example is Francis Road in London, E10.

My strong suspicion is that the road numbering authorities haven’t caught up to the changes yet.

Nice work. Looks like you are all set for the big change tomorrow!
