Vyvian's Diary

Recent diary entries

It was another refreshing moment, educating me on the essence of been an active member on HOT foundation. Below is the agenda of the meeting held on Friday 8th February 2019 • Briefing from OSM Nigeria Coordinator. • OSM Communities - local and global • HOT Working Groups. • OSM Africa. • Mapping Tasks. • Brief from HOT Community Staff and Board. • Question & Answer session. • Review of past topics.

In all I left with just one key note from Gertrude Hope- Director of HOT(Senior Mentor). In her Words “Every Edit Saves Life”. #letgirlsmap and #mapthedifference

This the first for the year in other to plan towards a productive #mapthedifference2019. The meeting lasted for 2 hours yesterday 27th January 2019, as the the coordinator took his time to exhausted the items listed in the agenda. Our deliberations yielded clarity and focus for everyone present as to the right direction in active participation towards achieving the goal of HOT at large.

2018

Posted by Vyvian on 7 January 2019 in English.

My name is Miss Vyvian and 2018 ended well, I must say. The reason because OSM Community found me. I became part of this community on Monday 26th November 2018. In the bit of understanding the very sole purpose of this group, I attended several web conference and online lectures. I’m not new in mapping but this community have more to offer directly and indirectly. The list is endless but to mention few: *Improved digital mapping skills *knowledge of global trending mobile mapping tools *Access to and provision of geographic data *Professional and humanitarian networking with OSM Global community *Professional Mentoring *Opportunity for mapping competition *and lots more

I started off with the task mapping project https://tasks.teachosm.org/project/506 I was further added to another group Lion Mappers Team (LMT) Enugu on Friday 7th December 2018 by the coordinator for Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT)

2019 is a new beginning for me to keep clicking and to keep mapping. Happy Clicking!!! Many more mapping for Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team and Prosperous #letgirlsmap
