Local community has mapped 88000 tracktypes with interpretation perfectly fine with wiki page but different from your interpretation. You may ignore local mappers but do you really believe this would help persuade them to do the work for you and not fix the tags to the values we use? And so far you have failed to provide places/pages/books/whatever which support your interpretation for tracktype which primary use has NEVER been for bicycle usage. Wiki page does NOT say what you claim.

Sorry, but I do not read what you read from tracktype wiki page. Tertiary road with an official 4digit number cannot be "soft" (some small defective spots - maybe, but not in general), it will be at least gravel. And again: are you going to change remaining 88000 tracktype tags in Lithuania and persuade Lithuanian mappers to start tag differently?

Ok. For now I see tags which are incorrect/different from massive amount of other same tags in Lithuania by a non local user with small number of small changesets so I see no point of discussing before fixing. The problems are detected by automated QA scripts and I'm reviewing the results daily. Making separate changesets for each user would take way too much of my time. But let's continue discussion of tracktype usage on the other changeset and we'll see from there.

Chrm, strange. Something is completely wrong here as you're trying to use the same tag „tracktype“ for completely different purpose than it was used for years. There is almost one hundred thousands of ways with tracktype in Lithuania (increasing steadily) and classification is totally different from what you describe.
Where are you getting such description from as this is not mentioned on tracktype wiki page?
The problem is that if you add tracktype with the meanings you describe, where would the standard meaning of tracktype would go? How would one know if some specific tracktype tag is for bicycles of for usual use?

For example this road has a high level of maintenance/traffic etc, it definately NOT tracktype3 way/229773763 All residential and higher highways (at least in Lithuania) would NEVER have less than tracktype2 therefore such tags are pointless and therefore they are not mapped by local community.

When doing changes in unfamiliar places - please try restricting your changesets to much smaller areas so that it is easier to review and fix or I will have to bring this to the attention of the DWG :-D
BTW: at least some tracktypes were incorrect, but I will see how to improve out autotests to handle such cases.

What happened here? Why have these driveways been retagged? Important driveway tag removed and access=permissive which actually is pointless was added.
