4 months ago | Thanks - I've just updated but looking again at the photo, I think there is an RES in the middle of the name?
4 months ago | Just a note to point out that disused:shop was left as a tag when this hairdresser was added. I'm removing it.
11 months ago | Thanks - fixed in changeset/162182789
about 1 year ago | Thanks - have sent an email to the FSA to point out that the address seems to be wrong.
over 1 year ago | Thanks for letting me know.
| 151734305 | over 1 year ago | Thanks - when I started tagging I asked which was preferred, old_name or was:name and I was told that using either would be fine so I've chosen to use old_name. This page seems to say that most people prefer old_name over was:name:

about 2 years ago | Thanks. Sorry, I'm trying to just add notes where I think things have closed or changed owner to ask people to check. I'm not quite sure why I decided to edit this one instead of adding a note. I'll revert the changeset and add a note.
about 2 years ago | Thanks - I added it to the way because I looked at the history and that was previously tagged as Wilko way/538847858/history I think the wikidata page just needs updating with the new owner. They have bought the name, website and have access to the social media of the old company. The facebook page is a continuation of the old page and says "We're back!". I'm not sure what the benefit is of using new tags.
over 2 years ago | That's why I added a note to ask whether it was vacant. I've removed the amenity tag.
over 2 years ago | Thanks but the only information I have is that this is not an Antler store. I don't know that it is a vacant shop. That's why I added a note for someone to check.
almost 3 years ago | Ah - i didn't want to add shop=vacant because I didn't know whether it was actually vacant - just that it was no longer a Next - which is why I thought it safer to mark it as needing a survey. Thanks for the feedback.
almost 3 years ago | Great - thanks very much.
almost 3 years ago | Thanks - more recently I have been using old_name to mark closed shops. Is was:name preferable to old_name? Or does it not matter?
about 3 years ago | OK - thanks - wasn't quite sure what to do with it.
about 3 years ago | I think I've undone the mistake.
about 3 years ago | Please revert this if you can - I've somehow clicked on the map by mistake and moved a bollard without meaning to. Currently looking up how to revert a mistake.
about 7 years ago | Thanks very much - that's very informative. I'm still not sure why it would be felt better to have incorrect information on a map just so it signals that there is a lot of incorrect information in an area but I feel like I haven't quite understood the philosophy behind this site yet. I'm generally feeling that I won't update any more incorrect information I find because I can't understand the logic involved. I've found that there are over 50 Phones4u shops still listed even though the company closed more than 4 years ago. I'm not sure what the value is in having such out of date information if it is possible to easily correct it. But I'm butting out now. Thanks for the explanation anyway.
about 7 years ago | Thanks very much for the welcome. I have to say that I am loathe to add any more edits at the moment for fear of doing it wrong.
| 64983881 | about 7 years ago | Hi, No I didn't. Sorry, I'm just learning - and obviously not fast enough. I had assumed that the opening hours given on a store's website were public information. I'll make sure that I don't add any more.

about 7 years ago | Hi, Sorry if I've not followed the correct procedure - I'm just learning. The source of the edit was the web page https://www.bunnings.co.uk/ which states that all the Bunnings Stores have been renamed as Homebase. I haven't checked that they are still open but they were definitely incorrectly named.
