A spam account it seems. They typically have zero changesets and leave random messages on other peoples changesets. Usually to sell something.

I clicked one of the links and its just "watch shis movie thats just out here for free, just click the shady link" I will report the person.

They're already banned and the DWG is in the process of reverting.

First changeset to better map the saltmarshes, tidalflats, coastline, creeks, etc in the Solway Firth. More to come.

Zou je aub willen opletten met wat je plaatst? Beide POI's staan al op de kaart. Wilderness_hut is trouwens niet correct voor vogelkijk hutten, maar bedoelt voor hutten waar je 'in de wildernis' kunt overnachten.

Hello Pete,

I was curious why these bridleways are tagged with both highway and disused:highway instead of just disused:highway? Because it seems weird to me to map them as highway when they dont physically exist.

Is this a convention in the UK for public right of way paths?

Hello again. After no response for a month and asking others for their thoughts I have deleted this trail as it does not exist.

This appears to be vandalism as it just removes someones effort to map the new flow of the river.

If we're talking area wise: It really depends. Personally I'd just try to avoid big land areas and especially major cities in this case. If its just above the ocean the changeset size is a lot less relevant.

if we're talking node wise: A lot of imports can have excessive amounts of nodes due to the way they handle things like curves. So reducing the amounts can be benificial. I think that could also be the case here. I tried simplifying a few area's you added (shift+y in josm) and could reduce the amount of nodes by 50% (by selecting 0.5m) and it didnt really make much of a visual impact unless I zoomed in as much as possible.

I also noticed you had a few pixellated areas. Might be worth looking in to.

I do believe that having this data could be beneficial to others and to prevent accidental damage to the seabeds. So having this data would be good.

The problem I still see however is that the CC BY 4.0 international license has some compatibility issues with the ODbL license OSM uses.

That blog post also contains a link to a waiver document that can be used to ask the authors for express permission.

A further problem I see is that imports have very specific guidelines that must be followed.

This is to allow other users to chime in with regards to how they feel about this import, to asses the quality, how this import should be done and other things like that. I could not find any discussion about this import in the community forums nor in the import catalogue wiki page.

Ook had je van een vrij zichtbare brug over een sloot heen de bridge en layer tags verwijderd. Dit lijkt me niet juist want het lijkt me niet dat dit ene spoor door het water heen gaat en ik heb dit hersteld.

Die fouten kan ik zien, maar ik heb zelf niet veel verstand van railmapping. Dus hulp zou gewaardeerd worden.

Ook deze changeset heb ik gewijzigt. Er was al een bestaande adresnode, dus graag de nieuwe informatie in de toekomst daar aan toevoegen. Niet een nieuwe node aanmaken. Ook heb ik de naam en website van dit hotel opgezocht en toegevoegd.

ik heb deze changeset weer teruggedraait. je hebt een hotel zonder verdere informatie op een straat gezet. Deze zal hier niet thuis horen, en een hotel zonder verdere informatie zoals een website of naam is niet erg nuttig.
Hetzelfde geld voor het museum. Deze stond in iemands voortuin zonder verdere informatie.

Hi, I was wondering where this import was discussed. I am also worried about the CC BY 4.0 because this license is not compatible with the ODbL license OSM uses.

You also list as source "Landsat-8/ Google Earth" which seems problematic to me.

I am also confused how seagrass counts as a seamark.
