over 3 years ago | You've just renamed your account from "Franswa Belhadí", but what's all your reason for adding lots of Spanish names? Some of them cannot be proven, especially ones involving highways generically named "National Road/Highway".
over 3 years ago | Why mark these proposed roads as under construction? Wondering why.
over 3 years ago | (Just missed a few more words) On bike lanes, these should be mostly a road attribute, not a separate way. I’ve been remapping a lot of those which has been mapped separately but is not separated by physical barrier. Please remap the EDSA bike lanes; these should be at best tagged as road attribute.
over 3 years ago | I'm not a fan of mapping sidewalks as separate ways and we generally do not do that here in the Philippines, but yes, we can have an exception if it's separated by impassable barrier (usually railing) or boulevard/grass strip. On bike lanes, these should be mostly a road attribute, not a separate way. I’ve been remapping a lot of those which has been. Please remap the EDSA bike lanes; these should be at best tagged as road attribute. Off-topic, but also related to your mapping of present EDSA is some problems with mapping Busway. There's actually no separated bus lane south of Estrella, and existing mapping is inaccurate.
over 3 years ago | Edit has been partially reverted as there is no aerial imagery to prove there is construction ongoing.
over 3 years ago | Hi there. People have been showing concerns that You have been retagging roads which are not yet under construction as of now. For this one, there is yet no imagery to prove Santo Tomas IC is under construction. Please refrain from editing such roads until there are any visible proof of construction.
over 3 years ago | 2 years had past, but doesn't seem to be the case. UN Avenue is stil 4 lanes from recent aerial. Your change is completely speculative
over 3 years ago | Those ways you're mentioning are emergency median openings; these used to be tagged as normal motorway_link, but that's a mistake so far. Crossovers on such roads are normally for emergency access only (and closed), but there used some of those used for U-turns to a nearby exit due to an incomplete interchange.
over 3 years ago | Highly urbanized cities outside Metro Manila are usually tagged admin_level=6 like provinces. Baguio is a HUC administratively independent from Benguet.
over 3 years ago | No problem, but the exit name's aren't real ones either; they're merely destination info on signage being forced to appear on main map.
over 3 years ago | I don't think so from how some routers handle them. Take for example OSRM, which equals trunk with motorway-like roads/expressways in Western Europe or North America, that basically makes them not usable for bike and pedestrian routing unless you tag them explicitly (as like what is being done in the US as they move from a usage of trunk based on construction to one based on importance).
almost 4 years ago | I'm currently working with speed limit verification on the northwest quadrant (roughly north of 16 Ave and west of Deerfoot) as well as downtown. Seems like 40 mostly applies to local streets, not the collectors. It's very different from what I found in Edmonton where I did a similar change there months after Calgary reduced its default to 40 as well; even collectors got 40 unless signs are posted.
almost 4 years ago | You (or somebody local) can take care of most of the inner roads, but thanks for providing the link to verify speeds, and I can help finding where it's either 40 or 50, especially in downtown (I can remember finding 50 on the larger streets) or some neighbourhoods where I've been. I'm from the Edmonton area by the way. Edmonton also has a similar verification tool for finding where it's 40; Edmonton adapted a 40 km/h default three months after Calgary did (May 31, 2021)
almost 4 years ago | Well, that's actually a voltage standardized by the IEC, see the table on key=voltage on OSM Wiki, but, yes, it's quite common to be referred to as 25 kV and lines do get tagged with that value here too instead of the more precise nominal value. It's much like the voltage of power supplied to our homes which is nominally 120 V but commonly referred to as 110 V.
almost 4 years ago | I just looked at the Moose Jaw end, and you might be correct, the problem being that more details are needed for the substation and some lines ending at the wrong place. There are also some lines that have been removed.
almost 4 years ago | @DP24PH Heto ka na naman. You're trying to help, but why go whole lengths to ask LGU? The issue is very simple: locate the node in Poblacion or busier area[s]? Panapaan is also busy with SM around, but I think it's Zapote.
almost 4 years ago | @DP24PH It's more or less clear the Zapote-Talaba-Niog area is the ''de facto'' downtown, as the most built-up and the end of Alabang-Zapote Kabila. This edit moved the city node to around SM Bacoor, but to me, that isn't the best place as more busier area is Zapote-Talaba.
almost 4 years ago | Isn't the first place you'll think of Bacoor as the Zapote-Talaba-Niog area?
almost 4 years ago | @Open Paint Maps You have been blocked for not heeding your previous block. Intimidating mappers who revert you will only make your block longer!
almost 4 years ago | Unless they have clear reopening date, better keep it as is.
