There are additional cycling routes in Skelmersdale. I have confirmed this by using them. The routes are shown on a map prepared and issued by West Lancashire Borough Council: http://www.westlancs.gov.uk/media/73210/skelmersdale_cycle_town_web.pdf.

The note marker is at the junction of another route which extends up to Houghtons Road and then turns south to the Concourse in the town centre.

I've tried to connect Torkington Brook which was partially drawn south of here up to the river goyt to the north. This section is only drawn roughly from local knowledge and it may actually be underground in parts. Any improvments welcome!

The railway way/137555549 here has been tagged as "disused" yet the imagery suggests that parts should be abandoned and parts either dismantled or not there at all. Needs a proper survey...
