An other comment, in Stockholm we prefer to have only one instance of a given address, preferably at an entrance. So we don't addresses to POIs.

ah, sorry, I made a mistake, it wasn't my intention to remove the phone number. I've corrected that. For the address I used a relation to associate the restaurant with the address. So it isn't duplicated.

I do think so. But I can pass by tomorrow to dubblecheck. Sometimes it can be difficult to distinguish a place that just has closed for the day from one that has closed for good

Hi MerylStreet, I'm doing well, nice to be back in Nice. So my philosophy about addresses is that I strive for them to be unique and complete. I.e. all the addr* tags in one object preferably together with an entrance tag. And that a given housenumber only shows up once. And I use relations to associate an address to a POI, if I know the exact address for it. Then about these addr:street and addr:city tags on their own on a POI, to me those are a bit like the old is_in tags that where deprecated. But from now on I just prefix them with contact*, that I've also seen used here

Jag har nu rättat hastigheten. Först av rent praktiska skäl, du skulle behöva en sportbil för att ens hinna komma upp i 50km/h före du måste tvärnita för att inte köra in i huset där gatan slutar. Och om en polis skulle observera detta skulle du nog ändå åka på böter vårdslöshet i trafik. Tror inte man skulle komma undan med att vädja till någon officiell databas.

Sedan så verkar det märkligt att just den gatan skulle växla upp till 50km/h när den ända gatan som leder fram till den har 30km/h.

Right, I see what you're referring to. Regarding Ma Nolan and Credit Agricole, that was bad editing from my part. I don't remember exactly, but it might have been that I was about to check their exact address from their website and using a relation (provides_feature) to attach an address to the POI. The same way I did for Voglia. But I might have been distracted in the process and didn't complete it.

I don't know of any wiki-page that would specify mapping of addresses in that detail. I think it varies a bit between different countries. Is there any for France?

Personally I prefer to have unique addresses, that is an specific address that only appears once in the database. And preferably together with an entrance or a barrier=gate. To me that is the most valuable kind of address and that comes closest to ground-truth. POIs could have addresses attached to them either with the contact:* tags or a provides_feature relation.

Sorry if I've disturbed any of your contributions. A lot of POIs in old town didn't match up with current reality. If the establishment had changed I didn't keep the address unless I knew the address of the new POI for certain as the the location wasn't well aligned with the building. And if I knew for certain the address of a POI I would prefer to have it tied to a separate and complete address node.
