over 3 years ago | Hi, In English as in Italy we don't speak French and do the change set commentaries in Italian or English which most mappers speak. That said, your edit set made OSM Inspector throw fits on the Villa Borghese area so I fixed the inner/outer roles and duplicate segments. While there added building, few more areas inside the forest zone, solved the double render of Piazza di Siena name and made the centre green zone visible. See changeset/119533169 for the applied fixes and changes. ciao
over 3 years ago | Hi Bergfan If mapping areas in for instance forest please be careful that you select the correct forest relation for the inner role. You added about 8 here and the inner forest role was the wrong one. I've corrected them. You can see it in carto standard view when trees render over meadow and scrub. They got highlighted in OSM Inspector is how I noticed. https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?lon=14.0617&lat=42.4379&zoom=11 Ciao
over 3 years ago | The thought boundary tag might not have been a good idea. There's half dozen plus featureless lines that follow the park relation only with a note+source tag on them (why?). Will wait for error report, though think they will be no show. Boundary key at least gives a feedback of why they're on the map.
over 3 years ago | Success
over 3 years ago | All American airports and then one more in Turkey to make sure every mapper in between sees it, noticing that is_in on the latter is a deprecated tag. Please split your edit sets to small geographic areas. No one not there is in need to know. MTIA from Italy.
over 3 years ago | rm? lande?, you're mapping in Italy, so please add proper comprehensible comments in English or Italian. Whilst the park you mapped is brokewn with a self intersection at Via dell asparago. How we know? The area does not render in standard Carto view. I've fixed it for you ciao.
over 3 years ago | Again no warning in previous edit set there was an open ring, only because of checking if all rendered did this surface AND AGAIN it involved bordering on a complex MP area that was not fully loaded into memory! Bug report made at GITHUB, zero response.
over 3 years ago | Also added mobile phone mast in fenced area with service building across rail.
over 3 years ago | Hi, Is your mapper name referring to how you enter data into OSM... by "import" or machine tracing? You may want to check the buildings afterwards as you've left several nonsensical self-intersection nodes. Red flags in OSM Inpector and no rendering with the affected objects. ciao
over 3 years ago | To be precise, grotten warning for not adding the building= to the relation which is more dots as the type=building says it all, but that's me.
over 3 years ago | I know i know about this and most all times resisted. I like to test the, fill in the dots, and this is to see if the reverse warning shows up.
over 3 years ago | Hi, note the correction I made as the race track was not showing up in the map due to self intersecting of the javelin and racetrack in the same multipolygon. Rule of thumb: Don't use MP when areas overlay. changeset/119437761#map=18/45.68629/11.70645 ciao
over 3 years ago | OK, this has resolved the issue of no-render in standard carto mapping.
over 3 years ago | Compare the borders as shown in France Cadastre, which happens to overlay on Openstreetmap with what is mapped in OSM and one might conclude there's more to correct than just a ridge as boundary. You can actually see the OSM apped boundaries below in e.g. https://france-cadastre.fr/cadastre/daluis I'll park this for the moment, bookmarked and see what can sensibly be done and not open a can of worms on the go cheers again. PS Daluis boundary left-top does seem to kind of happen to be on the Cime Fourchais peak boundary,... offsets not only here.
over 3 years ago | Unfortunately ID Editor does not have this overlay, only BDOrtho IGN which is labelled as best available so I see if I can extract anything meaningful out of cadastre.gouv.fr cheers.
over 3 years ago | Now it has the proper hue in carto standard.
over 3 years ago | Looks like 1 side of Di Sotto is almost done, Easter just 10 days away :O)))
| 119390709 | over 3 years ago | Boundaries should enclose an area and not go out and back on the same mapped line causing the self intersection. If you got a link to that cadastre section with the peak ill be happy to map it proper and not let the map issue sit for years, since 2011 to be precise, without address. :o}

over 3 years ago | Hi, Is there a part 2 (?) as right now, 4 months later, the area is an unclosed ring mess. Click on the Nizza Millefonti link and it will red line highlight the area showing large gaps in the relation. ciao
| 119397544 | over 3 years ago | It means that no none can see from your edit set up front if you made edits in any other mappers regular mapping zone. Also these big edit area sets stick to the top of the local history view for days. Bad practise. 2 Wikis
ciao again |
