this is bad news which still happening in Tandale wards in Dar es Salaam Tanzania a place where we conducted our project using openstreet map,the sub-ward named Mkunduge in Tandale ward, most of the people loss their homes and properties after occuring of heavy rainfall with blowing wind which cause the area to floods. This is a serious issue because during our project,we observed different problems, and lack of proper drainage channels i mean poor drainage systems is the one of the problem that affect most of the area in Tandale. In general more than 600 peoples suffer for shelter till now,and about 13 died for flood

im the member of Tandale Mapping group using Open Street Map,i like the way how people from different parts of the world such as Hait shares their views with others like from Tandale in Tanzania. It seems the program is very usefull to community members living in this world and it is user friend to all.Much respect to WORLD Bank and Ground Truth Initiative for their support on how to understand this program

Mmmh....!!!It was a good exercise to create a map using open streetmap softwere,But in Tandale the life is not good due to presence of informal settlement.Imean that there are so many issues arising in our work such as poor solid and liquid waste management. This may be due to presence of poor administrative, low level of education on how to treat waste or lack of areas for disposing waste.Although the area is informal settlement, but by using the map which we created in Tandale we can reduce this issues forexample by getting funds.
