Changeset When Comment

Hello Michael,
please read osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer and reconsider the tags you use in the edits.
A tree with name=farm is not the right way to map anything. In addition, information like a property owners name is not suitable for openstreetmap.

Thank you and happy mapping!

Vespucci didn't close the changeset after I added the landcover in colorado because the api call timed out, so when I did the dog tag edit, it just added it to the same changeset.

Danke für den Hinweis, die hatte ich übersehen, weil sie nicht direkt an der Straße liegen. Werde ich gleich nachreichen!

Hello,
Thank you for your contribution! In the future, please make sure to use more descriptive changeset comments so people can more easily understand what you did.

Happy mapping!

Hello,
please make sure that you don't accidentally tag buildings with natural=tree. There have been several buildings with natural=tree tags. I fixed them all, don't worry.

Hello,
Thank you for adding all those details to the city center! Please make sure to tag treerow lines with natural=tree_row. Natural=tree is only used for single nodes, representing individual trees. So in this case, the nodes of the line should be tagged natural=tree, while the line itself should have natural=tree_row. I already fixed it here and near Dronning Louises Bro, where you added a tree row a few days ago, so just a heads up for future edits.

Thanks and happy mapping!

I already fixed it. I just wanted to tell you before you add more wrong dog permissions. Enjoy your walk!

Thank you for surveying this area! Please note that the correct tag for dog permissions is dog, not dogs.

Thanks and happy mapping!

There isn't a particularly good reason, other than that I used the stamdard add circle tool of my editor. I will simplify them in the future.

I guess I'd have to lobby the local government to build a road through that forest, splitting it in two parts!

163963219 9 months ago

Thank you for your comment, I will keep that in mind for future additions. I was going for the maximum to keep the number of members for the relation as low as possible (without having to sacrifice detail) because they easily get into the hunderets after adding all the clearings. But having a few more outer members will not make a big difference I suppose.

Thank you for adding the buildings! Please don't add any tags to the nodes, only the way when mapping buildings. The corners of the building don't need an extra "building=house" tag.

Thank you and happy mapping!

Hello Jake,

Thank you for adding all that info to the camping sites. Please note that the correct tag for dog is singular and not plural. See dog=*
I fixed this here and at the Lake Benmore site.
Thank you and happy mapping!

That would be great , thank you!
Access=yes is not strictly necessary if you also have those more specific users, but it doesn't hurt I guess.
If you want to be even more granular, there are a bunch of possible values for the access tag, although I presume they don't apply to this kind of path: access=*

Happy mapping!

Hi,
Did you mean to change Hemmed-In-Hollow Trail to access=no? Because if it is an accessible footpath, it should not have this tagging. If you mean access for vehicles, this would be the more appropriate tag: motor_vehicle=*. Access=no is only supposed to be used on paths that are actually impossible to access.

Hello,

Thank you for adding these buildings. Please make sure to make them have 90° angles. In the ID editor, you can hit the Q key when you have a building selected and it will automatically make it a rectangle.
Thanks and happy mapping!

Hallo,
osm.wiki/DE:Key:dog
Vielen Dank und frohes Kartieren!

You changed several areas of woodland to natural=tree. Please note that this is not the correct tag to use, because natural=tree is only supposed to be used on nodes, marking individual trees, not whole areas. I fixed it.
