La lecture des archives de la liste te montreront que l'affiche de l'échelle est un thème récurrent d'OSM et les explications du pourquoi cette échelle a existé puis a disparue avant de revenir puis repartir mais ce point est accessoire. OSM, ce sont les données et la carte affichée sur le site principal ne sert que de vitrine. De nombreuses choses ne sont pas affichées sur celle-ci.

L'orientation... hum comment dire... s'il n'y a pas de rosace ou de flèche, la convention est que le nord est en haut. S'il n'y pas d'option de rotation de carte, c'est parfaitement inutile de le préciser.

En attendant, merci pour tes chaleureux encouragements qui nous vont droit au coeur.

I confirm in other words : do you know roundabouts which are not oneways ? or if they are oneways, are they really roundabout ?

roundabouts are at the end the only elements where oneway IS implied, otherwise it is not a roundabout. Other elements where oneway could be implied by default like motorway, motorway_link are disputed on the wiki since years.

Basically, you should report the roundabouts where the circle direction is incorrect.

Why tracing buildings from Yahoo ? The recent OS data release does not include a dataset of buildings footprints ?

Si les données apparaissaient comme 'effacées' uniquement dans le journal des modifs, ça ressemble à un bug dans JOSM...

Je pense que tes données n'étaient pas "effacées" mais simplement pas mises à jour immédiatement sur Mapnik, du nom du moteur de rendu générant la carte principale d'OSM. La fonction de mise à jour toutes les minutes s'est arrêtée quelques heures hier-soir. Avant d'annoncer que des données sont effacées, il faut d'abord s'assurer qu'elles le sont effectivement avec un éditeur (Potlatch ou JOSM par exemple).

You are working in the wrong order : first check what can be done with your produced work (at a legal point of view). Then look for the tools. What's the advantage of creating data that cannot be used freely and widely ? Are you working for the copyright owners ? It's not because the data sources (the images) and the tools are available that it is necessarily a good idea to mix them to produce something new if the final result is useless. But good luck for your initiative. I just hope that people will not waste their time there. Or just work directly for GMapMaker.

Il est possible de ne récupérer que la couche du bâtit sans les textes parasites. Mais évite de distribuer un outil qui pour l'instant créer encore beaucoup trop d'artefacts déjà cités (coins arrondis, nœuds dupliqués, etc). Certains contributeurs se contenteraient d'un mauvais import plutôt que de d'attendre un bon outil malheureusement.

Es gibt ein gross Unterschied zwischen Orte und Strassen. Im Elsass, wir haben kein Problemen mit name:de=Mühlhausen aber es wäre Total anderes mit die Strassen Namen. Es ist wie im Paris. "Place Pigalle" heiss "Place Pigalle" im alle Sprachen. "Moulin Rouge" auch ;-)

You don't have to register for the poll, just write your name/pseudo. For the real vote in February, only registred OSM contributors will be asked for the licence change.

chilly: I have no problem with the current process of adoption but I always read comments like "if a majority of contributors will not accept" or "if a majority of contributors will accept" but nobody is trying to know or ask what the community is REALLY thinking about the license change.

This opinion poll is not FUD and bullshit, neither against the Odbl nor against the adoption process (OSMF votes for the proposal and the community will have to say 'yes' or 'byebye'). It is a fact that the process is a gun on our heads. And nobody in the foundation tries to find out what the community is thinking about the licence proposal before the final vote. I'm feeling that I'm doing their job.

Plusieurs remarques:
si mes changesets explosent à partir de avril/mai, c'est parce que OSM n'avait pas de changeset avant cette date (c'est l'époque où l'API est passée en version 0.6). Lorsque la base de donnée a migré vers la nouvelle API, les anciennes contributions ont été intégrées à des changesets "virtuels" automatiquement et qui n'ont aucune valeur statistique puisqu'ils n'existaient pas;
- le robot woodpeck_fixbot tourne effectivement sur les données aux USA mais il s'exécute depuis l'Allemagne puisque son auteur est allemand (Frederik Ramm).
- il faudrait que tu t'inscrives sur la mailing-list francophone (osm-talk-fr) pour informer d'avantage de monde que sur ce "diary"

Well, sad that you reinvent the wheel for things already discussed many times in the past two or three years ;-) For instance, I never see the widely used tags "tracktype" and "surface" in your scheme. I would reserve highway=service for paved roads and not use the tag "motorcar=no" if "a regular passenger car could use without issue". You should not create your scheme alone in your corner but look for a consensus with other contributors in your country and document it on the wiki. My 2 cents.

Pour les routes qui ont été récemment déclassées et qui conservent leur statut de voies de communication principales entre régions et départements, il faut aussi appliquer le tag highway=primary même si elles ne sont plus gérées par l'Etat (référencées en ).
