Changeset When Comment

The reason I ask is that an anonymous user posted a note last year saying that the "Minnesota Freeway" name was wrong. There were a few users that agreed, but not action was taken to change the data prior to closing the note.

I'm poking around on the ODOT site to see if I can find anything:

Can you elaborate on where the name "Minnesota Freeway" comes from?

Why did you change the tag railway=dismantled to railway=abandoned?

Yeah, I like tunnel=building_passage for capturing things like drive-through lanes that intersect buildings as well.

I was trying to update this with additional contact information (address, phone, website, etc), but I couldn't find anything through web searches. Is this doctor's office still in business?

You've changed railway=crossing to railway=level_crossing.

level_crossing is used for roads intersecting railways

crossing is used for footways intersecting railways

railway=level_crossing

railway=crossing

I've deleted the separate Ways with highway=cycleway along the road which already had cycleway=lane.

We don't put cycleways as separate objects if there is no physical separation (such as a bicycle lane that is painted on a road surface).
cycleway=*
In general, in OSM, we don't separate out lanes of a road if there is no traffic islands or other physical separators.
Note that in Portland on Southeast Division Street, appropriate cycleway tags already exist on the road, so these separate Ways with highway=cycleway should not be here.

There were some problems with the OpenStreetMap server within the last week where it would intermittently fail when requesting to download OSM data. You may have been running into that.

I've reverted this changeset in:
changeset/39442334
I normally don't want to revert things so quickly, but I'm also trying to fix up some errors that the MapBox data team has introduced around Portland and these changes added a bunch of new roads on top of existing roads.

39375345 over 9 years ago

I may need to revert this entire changeset.

39403848 over 9 years ago

You've added a bunch of roads on top of existing roads here. I'm not sure what you were trying to change, but I'm going to revert the changes.

I'm not sure what happened here, but you've changed a bunch of street names to "c", such as:
way/113766507/
I'm not familiar with the editor you are using "ArcGIS Editor for OpenStreetMap (10.2)".

I've updated it to be 12'6" (12 feet 6 inches). The original data as entered as 16"12', which was subsequently corrected to 16'12"

Ok, I've reverted in changeset/39047566
Many of the objects had been subsequently edited and I've resolved to the latest version and then backed out the addition of the "contact:" prefix on various key values that were added by this changeset.

building/apt/unit/suite numbers are put in addr:unit. I'm updating Sushi Track now.

Global search and replace is a bad idea. Was this change discussed anywhere prior to making it?
