The lower part of the Longberger Path, known as the Chute Trail, has been reconstructed by the PA DCNR and partially relocated. The old trail replaced by the reconstructed part is now closed. It no longer joins the Longberger Path at the intersection with the Spruce Gap Trail, but the intersection is now a little to the east of the old intersection.
