KMB 27 doesn't look right to be affected by this change. A comparison reveals that a stop (King Tai Street) has been removed. Probably a "typo" so I reverted it.

Sorry, forgot one thing. By "stops before platforms", I mean "1st stop, 1st platform, 2nd stop, 2nd platform, etc."

You may refer to the wiki: osm.wiki/Buses

IMHO iD is practical for features and / or things that need a large size. Routes, meanwhile, require considerable precision so even if one is created by iD, rectification with jOSM is almost always necessary (KMB 282 was a rare work by me to use iD only).

Two features of jOSM often come handy in rectification: "Download object" and "Download Parent ways / relations"

For bus routes, stops and roads are the most important things. I usually re-use existing routes to add routes, and only download if absolutely necessary.

The sign at the place does flip from left to right (I actually peeked into the gap...)

138652383 over 2 years ago

Although I think I get get your point that no_left_turn (to the left) is the same as right_turn_only (to the right) here

138652383 over 2 years ago

Actually that right turn's the most important part. I can't assume all pathfinders automatically know they can simply go for the other way.

"scope of map is too small" >> what does that mean

138623397 over 2 years ago

As you may see, I focus on what to do. I kind of see this as me causing you trouble rather than the other way round, and I have been very careful on my wording.

Duplication is a very minor issue. In fact, if a bus route does run on a same segment more than once it HAS to be included that many times. It's not uncommon for a circular route to occupy a segment of road 4 times.

FYI, iD is a poor tool to add routes because it doesn't have function to let you readily sort members or copy existing relations.

That said, let's see if the following can be observed when adding bus routes:
1. Ensure all ways are properly split (i.e. every junction node that matters should have all connecting ways either starting or ending at it);
2. Likewise, the start / end stop position should be start / end of ways accordingly;
3. For every stop, add stops first and then platforms;
4. Add ways from start to end

Hi, your change has broken a few bus routes. I only found them out when OSM Inspector keeps yelling that certain routes are "invalid" over the past few days.

If you are altering ways, please take care of the relations using them. Thanks.

Clarification: For point 2, I mean even if people make stupid changes that frustrate you so that you need to revert them back, I wish you to state more clearly on what have you reverted -- a single sentence describing, say, what tag is removed, is enough. Sorry for any confusion caused.

Please keep your edits to at most one country / city per changeset, thanks

138313467 over 2 years ago

1. Please be more precise on what you have done, especially that the stuff you touched (or the changes you made in each object) are not necessarily related to each other.

2. I know sometimes people make stupid changes, but even in that case please put something meaningful in "source". For instance, I will put "common sense" in that field

This is what another contributor said after I shared this changeset on Discord: "Just bc you can't find it among the first 5 google results doesn't mean it doesn't exist"

Admittedly that's guy's rather rude, but I suppose you have surveyed the area to come to this conclusion?

FYI, this change caused all bus routes using Tsing Sha Highway northbound become out of order
