There is a style here into the garden of the Spyglass in. I believe (as does my father) that the public right of way still legally runs through the pub's garden and out through the car park, but it's no longer signed. The official coast path signs (now) send you to the road.

Certainly the official coast path ran through the pub when we walked it 20 years ago, and the guide noted the somewhat strange official legal route at this point, and how there was no real disadvantage in going along the road instead.
