I think we have settled on the correct name, Amdo (and the many multilingual variations) but I'm not sure what to do with the name "Pana". It is presently an alt_name, but it is not clear to me if this is an alt_name for Amdo, if it is the name of a neighbourhood of Amdo, or if it is something else entirely. Presently wikipedia reports it is a neighbouring town, only has Google Maps as a reference, and gives coordinates that refer to a point well within Amdo town. Just 10-20m from the coordinates it gives for Amdo town. If anyone has any additional info, please comment here. |
