The bridge over the Kern River appears at roughly 36.47350, -118.40709. The visible trail in the Bing imagery also shows the current path is somewhat off. So the trail needs a bit of adjustment to compensate.

Making High Sierra Trail a relation, so it shows up (via network=rwn) on named trail maps. Also added more tags.

Muir Hut is a historic stone structure built by the Sierra Club at the crest of the very exposed Muir Pass (3,644 m).

Safe use of hiking trails sometimes requires knowing whether stream crossings are bridged. A very nice suspension footbridge has been built on this popular trail.
