CAGIS 2019 1-foot orthoimagery was the main source for this change.

Mapping parking lots can be useful, but please make sure to indicate access restrictions. The parking lot behind the fire station is only for emergency vehicles, so set access=no and optionally emergency=designated.

This changeset has been manually reverted in changeset/76287496. Please avoid using Bing aerial imagery in future edits, because it is many years out of date; what looked sloppy was actually correct.

Instead of Bing, use OSIP 6in by clicking the Map Data button on the right side of the editor. When you need something clearer than OSIP 6in, switch to Mapbox. When you need something newer than OSIP 6in, switch to Maxar or ask in the #ohio channel of OSMUS Slack for access to CAGIS. Thank you for your cooperation.

What’s with the firepit? Can you describe what this is in more detail? Perhaps there’s a more precise way to tag it.

The article was right. This is the Brotherhood Building; changeset/3410538 incorrectly gave that name to a building one block to the east, which is now demolished. Fixed in changeset/76282505.

Disregard the last part of the changeset comment.

When micromapping a pharmacy as a point within a drugstore, try to place the pharmacy point near the drive-through window, since that’s where the pharmacy counter is usually located within the store. For the large chains like Walgreens and CVS, the drive-through window is almost always the part of the building that juts out to the rear.

Also undivided a portion of Alexandria Pike that has a center turn lane down the middle.

These road names shouldn’t have been changed. The road is named “O’Fallon”. Many Irish surnames begin with “O’”. TIGER is unable to represent apostrophes, so that’s why there’s a space. I’ve re-replaced the spaces with curly apostrophes in changeset/75854742.

Hi, thanks for all your updates in the area lately. Especially when you realign features to aerial imagery, please consider opening the Background panel in the editor’s right sidebar and choosing an alternative to Bing aerial imagery. There’s a table comparing the available imagery providers at osm.wiki/Ohio but I’ve been pretty satisfied with the OSIP 6-inch imagery, which is more accurate and more recent.

Thanks for catching the missing access tag. Please note that the tag should be spelled access=emergency, not access=Emergency. service=emergency_access can also be useful for renderers.

Please do not make up speed limits. This ramp has no posted legal speed limit (maxspeed), but it does have a posted advisory speed limit of 45 mph, as seen in https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/tMywszjoCPjT8wasXyxYXV . changeset/75074837 removes the 65 mph speed limit tag and replaces it with a 45 mph advisory speed limit tag. I wouldn’t be surprised if people regularly go 65 mph on the straightaway, but freeflow traffic speeds belong in a separate database, not OSM. If the navigation application’s warning is undesired, that is an issue to take up with either the software developers or TxDOT.
