Mapped the above area and also completed the last street south of the A1101 and east of town centre. Need to add an area for the Mildenhall College of Technology. To the east of the town centre is next.
Finished Jubilee Playing Fields and did the Lark Rd estates. Very little more left to do south of the A1101 on the East side of the town.
Completed the closes off Mill St. Added many features around the edge of the town centre. Now complete south of B1102, A1101 as far east as the football ground east edge.
Barton Mills is complete to footpath level.
Mildenhall. River Lark, Lark Valley path completed. Jubillee Field except NE edges and paths and facilities around Jubillee Field completed.
Thetford - added the industrial and shopping estates at the south end of the town.
Thetford - added the bus station and streets leading to it.
Brandon - added Green Rd which is the southern edge of the town.
Eriswell - completed the B1112 which had a big gap in it.
Holywell Row - added the village and the main street.
Beck Row - added the village.
The Town Centre is largely complete. Still needed are:
* Footpath beside Sainsbury
* Path to the river.
* Loop of road to scout hut
* Pubs, surgerys and such like
Completed significant roads into and in the village.
Outstanding: All footpaths, minor roads, several long dead end roads out into the fens.
Barton Mills is essentially complete to footpath level. There is just a couple of hundred metres of River Lark and footpath which will get done as part of Mildenhall.
Everything south of village centre is now completed to footpath level.
Added many of the principle footpaths. Most of it I could do from local knowledge and the aerial pictures but it will need another visit to finish it off.
Added missing footpaths and adjusted things a bit. Ramsden Square and Gainsborough Close.
Added principle paths and lakes to the Science Park.
Tidied up the Business Park and added many missing service roads.
A lot more could be done to the Science Park. I don't intend to do all the car parks but I will add the remaining principle pedestrian routes. Not many more of those.
Barton Mills - did village green area and footpaths around Grange Farm.
Fordham - added last missing through road. No cul-de-sacs, estate roads or footpaths have been done in this village. This brings Fordham to a consistent level of detail in which to leave it.
Added missing road SW of Tuddenham. The inter-village road network is now complete to the west of Tuddenham and Herringswell as far as Fordham, Isleham and West Row. That brings the area to a consistent level of detail in which to leave it.
I may grow the area at that level of information if I am going in that direction but I will be concentrating on finishing Barton Mills and then moving into Mildenhall. Barton Mills will take 3 more walks so that will probably be finished this week.
Barton Mills - East end, Fiveways and Lark Valley Path
Posted by Malcolm Boura on 11 May 2008 in English.Finished the east end of the village down to footpath level. Did not add the footpath from the R. Lark to the A1101 beyond the Cut Off Channel. The stinging nettle defeated me.
