StreetComplete do not support Aerial imagery, how can you edit StreetComplete with Aerial imagery?
Also, Why you ask the locals for surface? Can't you see it with your eyes?
Also, you did not answer my question about alter/change the location of the GPS of your phone so you can edit outside the local area in StreetComplete, did you do that?

Thank you for noticing this! this is a 6+ year old error! Keep up the great work! Thank you again and best regards!

If you don’t answer these two answers specifically, I will be forced to revert your edits as they are based on assumptions not actual surveys.
Regards.

> Why are you asking about something that is not your business.

OSM is an open-source map relying on a community of volunteers via open collaboration, we all map, edit, and validate the data, and if we see something that might be wrong we discuss it. In OSM communication is a key, and users must communicate. Here I'm trying to make sure that your edits are correct and do not violate the rules. So please, answer my two questions:

1- Have you visited all of those countries? Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the others that you edited with StreetComplete? and you survey the surface yourself on the ground, right?

2-You DID NOT alter/change the location of the GPS of your phone so you can edit outside the local area in StreetComplete?

Thank you and regards.

So you 1-visited all of those countries? Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and others, and you actually survey on the ground, right?
And you 2-DID NOT alter/change the location of the gps of your phone so you can edit outside the local area in StreetComplete?
Please answer specifically. Thank you and regards.

Yesterday you edited in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. You survey all of them in one day on the ground yourself without changing the gps of your phone to get out of the local box boundaries, right?

Hello sadegh sadegh, please do use meaningful changeset comments - “improve describe” does not help other mappers understand what you are doing.

I'm local to this area, and this article is not correct. The PMU and the rest of the terrorist groups like Hezbollah put up some signs illegally with this name against the will of the government and the people. The official name is Airport Street in Arabic "شارع المطار" and it is the one used by the government, people, and the one on the street signs.
Please do not change names of such important objects in places that are foreign to you again, especially when the names you are adding are problematic and offensive like this.
Regards.

Thanks.

Hi,
The StreetComplete wiki says:
" Please note that StreetComplete is intended for local, on-the-ground surveying only. Editing remotely is not supported, and will result in problems. Changesets covering massive areas is one of typical signs that remote editing is taking place.
In case of encountering one - try to verify first is given mapper editing based on local survey - or are they guessing or what worse editing based on unsuitable sources. "

did you actually survey the locations you edited here?
StreetComplete support local edits only and will not allow any edits outside square local area, are you changing your location to make remote edits?
You did this many times before, and today you did it in changeset/143842044, 143841003 and this changeset.
Please confirm the source did you actually survey it or is it remote?

Why are you adding the names in Kurdish while the local language is Arabic?

143669886 about 2 years ago

Dear Mapper btns, Thank you for your efforts to make the map better, but unfortunately, this is not how things work in OSM, as the import guidelines are very strict.
I'm pretty sure you're intentions are good and noble and I would love to see your work and such data on the map, but we as mappers should follow the procedures to prevent any errors and wrongdoing, and any undiscussed import shall be reverted.
Please read the following guidelines: osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines
Please don't stop and ditch the project, but please start the import process by following the steps mentioned in the link above. The good thing is that you already did the hard part and the data is okay assumingly, you just need the approval to re-upload if everything checks out.
If you want any help you can always ask for it, you can post in the community regarding anything on your mind about this https://community.openstreetmap.org/
Thank you and best regards.

Removing valid names that can be spoken by locals, and on street signs, and consider as an official language by the kurdistan region is considered vandalism like the way you did in changeset/143633135
This is the last time I'm gonna ask to restore the valid names.
Regards.

Persian is not local, spoken nor official language in Iraq or the Kurdistan region, Arabic is spoken, on signs, and an official language by law to the Kurdistan region, and it is on street signs.
For example minutes ago I edited the name of a way in changeset/143632885 and used https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=698075201557059&lat=36.180405656461&lng=44.008308851292&z=17&focus=photo as a source, you can see the sign on the right has Arabic.
Same goes for changeset changeset/143632751 that I made minutes ago too with the https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=448888126789551&lat=36.180097344489&lng=44.023394868421065&z=17&focus=photo as source.
If there is some signs of the street that do not have Arabic, that doesn't justify the removal of Arabic language from the street.
Baghdad is different, almost no one speak or read Kurdish, and the street sign do not has Kurdish language on them, you can go around the entire the city and you won't find a single Kurdish word in the streets, which is the opposites of Erbil where there is Arabic names on the Street signs and shops etc.
Regards.

>they are not screenshot, it's surveying images

The title of the images are literally named "screenshots" and they have different resolutions proving they were screenshotted from a video.
And who say there are the only signs for this long road? And did you actually surevy asking the people in Arabic if they know the name or not?

>I will ask you stop transliterate anything you edit and add Arabic names that does not exist.

Names I added are valid and correct. Most of them are based on eye survey, and the rest based on asking people on the ground about what the street name and whatever they answer in Arabic that is the street name, and with my knowledge in Kurdish and English, the Arabic names I got from the local people are matching the Kurdish and the English names.

Again, please stop this behavior. And do not delete valid data again.

Regards.

ڕاستی, I see you delete name:ar tags again here like many times before. I asked you to stop such behavior many times. Please stop such edits.
You shared 3 screenshots of 3 street signs as a source for your edit to remove the 49 correct 'name:ar' here. It is true that we edit what's on the ground but did you actually survey the whole 10km street and see there is no sign with 'name:ar'?
I understand you don't like the Arabic language as you removed thousands of Arabic names before through the years even from place=* nodes like for example changeset/63498102 but this is not ok to do here in OSM. OSM is not your own map exclusively, it's an open collaboration, Arabic is a language that is spoken by almost all Iraqis including most of the Kurdish population, It is the official language of the country and also an official language by the Kurdistan region government https://archive.gov.krd/dfr/dfr.gov.krd/p/p9728.html#:~:text=Language-,The%20Kurdistan%20Region%E2%80%99s%20official%20languages%20for%20government%20purposes%20are%20Kurdish%20and%20Arabic.,-The%20two%20most, so removing such data is considered as vandalism.
I also see you changed name:en here from "Barzani Nemir Street" to "Barzani Nemir Str", please don't abbreviate names like that, if the name can be spelled without an abbreviation, then don't abbreviate it.
I will restore the name:ar names that you deleted from ways and restore the name:en names without the abbreviation.
Again, please stop deleting name:ar tags, DWG volunteers is currently busy with the vandalism that is happening now in Israel and I don't want them to waste time on you. If you continue the vandalism to the point that I'm wasting time just to restore valid data you removed then I have no choice other than to report you, and you will be blocked just like last time when you removed name:ar tags.
Regards.
