| 155995102 | over 1 year ago | The term "الوطن العربي" (al-Watan al-Arabi) translates to "The Arab Nation" in English. This term refers to the countries where Arabic is the primary language. The Arab Nation is generally divided into two regions: Mashriq al-Arabi and Maghrib al-Arabi.

| 155719703 | over 1 year ago | Dear mapper, please don't be stubborn, and if it's not the right time for you to discuss, no problem, you can respond later, but when I ask you a question like are you a local mapper? or have you discussed this with the local community first? the least you can do is answer these simple questions. Responding in this way is unprofessional, not cooperative, and not a way to communicate with other mappers.
| 155719703 | over 1 year ago | *likely* is not a good reason. You think it *might* change, others think it would not.

| 155702256 | over 1 year ago | Hello ASMapper, Thank you for editing OSM, but please can you explain in the future edits what did you add/changed/removed in the changeset comment so other mappers understand what your edit is without wasting time? as "Syria villages" do not explain what did you do.
| 155702976 | over 1 year ago | Please use good changeset comment. (no comment) do not explain what did you edit or why, thus you will waste other mappers time just to try and understand your edits. Please add good changeset comments to your future edits. |
| 155689987 | over 1 year ago | I just suggest that we just leave changing languages on 'name' tags here in this town to the local mappers. If they want to change the languages, they change the languages themselves. Thank you for your understanding my friend. |
| 155689987 | over 1 year ago | Also, in this changeset I see you changed the name "library" from Arabic to Kurdish too in node/4485653493.
| 155689987 | over 1 year ago | Dear friend, First of all, we are talking about the street names, which shall be sourced from the street signs, or by asking the locals and use it in the local spoken language. Here you just translated the names from Arabic to Kurdish, without surveying, which is wrong in my opinion and that is why I'm here commenting.
| 155689987 | over 1 year ago | Since there is no signs, we shall add the names how the local people say it in the spoken language. The people of the Town speaks mainly Arabic. And the 'name' tags inside this town shall be according to that, Which follows the on-ground rule. If there is a shop for example that has the banner in Kurdish only, or mainly, it shall be put in 'name' no problem, but if there were no signs, we use the local spoken language.
If you are a Kurd and you go to the town of Kifri, they will speak with you in Kurdish, if you were Arab, They will speak with you in Arabic. It is that simple.
