I have been a member of OSM and a volunteer on the Missing Maps Project since September 2014, when I attended my first mapathon. I came to the project from a love of maps and my studies in epidemiology. My area of expertise is the spatial epidemiology of infectious diseases and my MSc thesis was a spatial analysis of an intervention program in Tanzania and its effect on malaria prevalence in children. I volunteered at the offices of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) UK and the British Red Cross for the Missing Maps Project while writing my thesis. I now work as a contractor to USAID in the Global Health Data Analytics Hub, creating maps for program planning and doing geospatial analyses.
