This is a single lane road with serious infrastructure and slide issues. Los Angeles City is currently working on retaining wall in one section, but others are in danger i there is significant rain. A firetruck would have difficulty passing through on this street (it should be named rd., not Avenue) and important for disaster access. Jan 2025

Project of road repair and retaining wall by the city January 2025. Single lane road, with many deep potholes and frequent rock slides. Red Flag days in the city prohibit cars parking on the road at all for fire truck access. Road has cones, caution tape and has been under construction for a few months.

Site of serious sinkhole in approximately 2023 after two seasons of torrential rain. City crews did day and night service digging through neighboring properties, water emptying into an open sewer grate 24/7 during the rains with generator pump and construction. Hill was re- stabilized, filled and seeded. Guard rails were not replaced. Nearby, a section of the retaining wall completely replaced by the city was reinforced pre 2013, perhaps causing unintended consequences (2020-2025) redirecting runoff from steep slopes above.

Site of serious slide and road detachment, guard rails fell down the hill, hillside calving off like a glacier. Currently yellow caution tape and cones, no safety fence to prevent accidents, children or cars from going over the side. Reported to city. Sandwich boards with reflectors have since fallen down on properties below or down to Kirkwood.
