Kays is a haphazard mapper without dedicated hardware, using and contributing to OSM in lieu of anything better.
Well, in its first 10 years OSM was friggin’ awesome, and it’s still suitable for most use cases, but today – having learned about OSM’s deficits – we can do better. This, however, warrants a new project, which of course has to reach its “critical mass” first (force of habit).
