over 3 years ago | Why did you downgrade this road? I had upgraded it because it is the main thoroughfare through this area and connects two primary roads.
over 3 years ago | May I ask you to please stop upgrading non-freeway roads to motorway? The US consensus is that motorway tags are for highways or sections of highways that are exclusively controlled-access (have interchanges, ramps, overpasses, etc.). Please also use more descriptive changeset comments that describe what exactly you are doing to the map. 'Added' and 'updated' are vague and could mean anything. Thanks.
over 3 years ago | Hello, please consider mapping businesses as buildings or points rather than as landuse so they can have proper Wikimedia-connected tags. If you do choose to map the gas station as the area rather than the structure itself, adding landuse tags is redundant. This is another reminder to please use more descriptive changeset comments explaining what you are doing in the edit rather than where it is, especially considering none of these edits were in the Pennsylvania State University.
over 3 years ago | Hello, this section of VA 7 has one interchange and is quite short, it shouldn't be a motorway.
over 3 years ago | Why did you upgrade Dorsey Hotel Road to primary and change its name to 'Pennsylvania ave'?
over 3 years ago | (Never mind the third inquiry, I looked at it and see how that happened. No worries.)
over 3 years ago | Hello, may I ask that you please leave more descriptive changeset comments and explain what exactly you did in the edit rather than where you made it? The location is highlighted in the list of changesets you have made on OSM. In your changeset, you downgraded this primary road and broke its name somehow: way/35009031 I'm not sure how something like this happens in a manual edit in the ID editor, even by accident. Could you please explain why this happened?
over 3 years ago | Why did you upgrade US 23 to motorway and change the undivided section to one-way?
almost 4 years ago | Whoops, thanks for pointing that out. I've just fixed it.
almost 4 years ago | Hello. I have reverted this changeset because you used old imagery to make it, which resulted in you deleting a new road and re-adding ones that no longer existed. For future reference, when you some across odd road alignments, I highly recommend checking other imagery available in the editor before making your edits to see if the imagery you are using is outdated.
almost 4 years ago | Trunk is reversed mainly for long-haul routes or those that connect important places, like US 12 and US 95. This is just an unsigned arterial serving the southern Lewiston/Clarkston area with expressway characteristics.
almost 4 years ago | Alright, looks like I've fixed everything now.
almost 4 years ago | (bus=designated too if the latter option)
almost 4 years ago | Ah, ok. I'm going to work on fixing these. Since highway=busway will soon be recognized, do you think I should I change it to that or make them service roads with access=no for now?
almost 4 years ago | That was my mistake, I confused busway with bus guideway. Are there no separate ways for bus-only roads?
almost 4 years ago | Why was this reverted? VA 209 is a primary state route and provides freeway access and should be at least secondary.
almost 4 years ago | Hello, this should not be a motorway. It crosses through at-grade intersections, even passing through some stop signs and a section with a speed of 20 mph.
almost 4 years ago | Hello, this section of US 20 should not be a motorway. It crosses a signalized intersection and through an interchange with a speed of 35 mph. The motorway tags are for freeways only.
almost 4 years ago | Hello, me and my fellow Virginians are currently figuring out what exactly the trunk destinations of Virginia should be and are adding/removing places on the list: osm.wiki/Virginia/Trunk_destinations. You're welcome to share any feedback on the Wiki. I retagged SR 606 back to trunk as it connects South Riding to Ashburn, Sterling, and Herndon.
almost 4 years ago | Lots of motorways, even some interstates, use these particular RIROs throughout the United States, such as US 50 east of Annapolis, MD and I 25 north of Pueblo, CO.
