Extremely Rough Road Segment from just below Union Springs to the Pike County line. It's like a tornado scoured pavement off in chunks or it hadn't been repaired in over 7 years. Be prepared for a rather bouncy jarring ride.

Intersection closed permanently. State removed traffic signal. Both lanes in both directions are now three lanes rather than two. Can no longer cross at this point as intersection has been removed.

This dam was totally taken out a few years ago. They took this dam and the one just below it to create a urban whitewater project.

According to the creators of this festival it is now permanently closed after 35 years. The very last festival was in mid October 2015. The last living creator of the festival is now in his mid 80's and keeping it running is simply far to much for his health.

Beware coming into this town from the west. Sure they have a city limit sign, reduced speed ahead, and 45 mph limit signs. The problem lays in they're each only 30-45 feet apart. This small one horse town is more than happy to write you a $170.00 speeding ticket. Look at the street layout! At best its 6 blocks wide by 4 blocks high. The 2010 census had it about 1,200 and the entire county 2,500.

There is now a frontage road from this point to the Turning Circle POI I just created. I also recorded a GPX route from the intersection to the turning circle but don't understand how to submit it.
