I believe that this road naming problem is a case fit for the old_name, alt_name and/or loc_name attributes.

Don't worry - I'm just as European as you are ! I do not know which alignment is best so I don't mess with it, but what is obvious is that the Bing imagery is much older than Maxar and Mapbox - buildings in particular but also the harbour show a lot of changes in recent years.

Hello, please use Mapbox or Maxar imagery - Bing is very stale here !

Bonjour, quasiment tous les bâtiments de ce changeset n'existent plus, car vous avez utilisé de l'imagerie Microsoft Bing complètement rassie. Utilisez plutôt Mapbox ou Maxar, beaucoup plus récentes.

Indeed - and that cost me a handful of conflicts... As I'm usually alone in the areas I edit, I have very the bad habit of committing large changesets.

Last time I was in Bamako was 2016. All of the heavy lift is done remotely - except the buildings, which I won't comment on.

Oups, you mentioned the same URL in the note - sorry !

Might be https://www.baaa-acro.com/crash/crash-de-havilland-dhc-6-twin-otter-300-bamako-7-killed but the place name it mentions for the crash site is "Niéla" which I can't find. I'll try talk-ml@osm if it rings any bell there !

Tous ces magasins sont enregistrés en tant que office=government - c'est évidemment une erreur. En outre, ils sont tous en majuscule - ce qui est également une erreur.

area=yes has no meaning here. If it is a building, then a building=yes is necessary - or the original building=commercial if the entire building is a shop. But if you want to tag the whole area as a marketplace named "Meat Market" then it should be amenity=marketplace. Otherwise, for a single shop, consider shop=meat. Welcome to Openstreetmap - please don't hesitate to ask questions to me if you feel the need !

Ekomtolo (node/3037843882) is a duplicate of node/2467813971 and is is wrong - I just surveyed it.

Thanks - but just one mistake: Hôtel de ville is amenity=townhall, not office=government

Hello, d'où sortent ces fractions de bâtiment (way/221021209). Je suppose qu'il s'agit d'un import. Osmose en rapporte un certain nombre - il s'agit de la règle "Should be polygon, part of multipolygon or not having area tag"
