Where did the supermarket go? It is by far the most important POI in the mall and is important mapping information.

Hello,

Thanks for your comment. I do not change points to areas if a building contains more than one POI. This wasn't the case for these changes. However, I had a more general discussion about this with a colleague of yours. I will no longer change points to areas in Bolivia and I have reverted the ones in this change set.

Thanks for your reply.

Please be aware that no data was lost. For example when I changed a fuel station from a node to an area (a building) I copied all data; same for any other changes. The change just adds information.

I tried to find these intermittent roads, but I can't remember having created those. It must have been just an error; I am well aware that roads aren't intermittent.

Which road are you referring to?

55230820 almost 8 years ago

The main road we have driven. There were a lot of changes due to construction work going on. I uploaded all GPS tracks. Some of the side roads we have driven, others are from satellite images.

Hello,

I would appreciate if you change your way of communication. I am happy to discuss mapping standards with you, but not in this way.

I have traveled 125.000 km through 43 countries including Bolivia in my overlander vehicle in the Middle East, Africa and South America and I have made thousands of additions and corrections to OSM based on what I found along the road. All of them are based on a combination of site survey and satellite images.

I don't own the data of an area, but you don't either. If you like please feel free to revert the few fuel station changes that I made (although they are definitely correct OSM mapping), but do not revert other changes and additions without consulting me. If you do I will be forced to report it as vandalism.

Bullshit, this is preferred mapping practice.

The definition in OSM for Motorways includes the following:
1. GENERALLY resemble a controlled access road and must be free from intersection controls (such as traffic-signals, rotaries and roundabouts, and stop signs or stop markings);
2. Typically have at least two lanes in each traffic direction with some degree of separation;
3. Have access roads only for servicing purposes, such as a limited number of driveways serving non-residential property, service roads to infrastructure, or rest-area roads or bays, which may be more typical in regional or rural settings

For the roads under discussion condition 2. and 3. are met and 1. is TYPICALLY met (there are exceptions). As the road is called Autovia and the OSM international equivalence table does not give more detailed specifications for Colombia I still believe the change was correct.

However, I noticed that my change was already reversed by someone else. I'll keep it like that and focus my attention on other areas.

Hello,

I drove the road in March of this year.Not only it was indicated as Motorway, but in my opinion it also met the Colombian requirements for Motorways. Therefore I don't believe it is necessary to reverse the change I made.

Hi Michael,

I don't know what happened as I only added a business, but I think it is repaired now.

There are two barriers. The one on the footpath just north of the track to the bridge is a squeezer stile, the one just south of it is a stepover stile. I have amended the map accordingly. Furthermore I removed an .untagged way that was on ot of the footpath.

We were in Kampala in June 2014. At the time we bought bread there. The shop is next to the entrance gate to the mall. You can see it from outside the fence, but the entrance is inside.
