Ja ob man einen seperates addr:housename braucht, oder es direkt als name einträgt, darüber lässt sich streiten. (name würde mir völlig reichen). Ich finde dennoch, dass der Name eines Geschäftes nicht in addr:housename gehört. Für Auswerter sollte es ein einfaches sein, auch normal name an solch einer Stelle anzuzeigen. Es wird selten vorkommen, aber ab und zu könnte vllt die Kombination auftreten, dass 1) das Gebäude ausschließlich für einen POI genutzt wird (Cafe) 2) das Gebäude einen Namen hat (oft bei alten Gebäuden so) und 3) das Geschäft einen eigenen Namen hat

Man könnte hier den POI seperat eintragen, da es aber alleinige Nutzung des Gebäudes ist, wäre es auf dem Umriss korrekter (Meine Meinung)

Mir fällt sogar ein Beispiel ein. Am Dresdner Hbf gab es ein Kino. Das hieß “Filmthather am Hauptbahnhof” war aber in einem Gebäude untergebracht, das “Königspavillon” genannt wird

Das sehe ich eher als Missbrauch des tags addr:housename. Der Tag ist nicht für das Taggen von Ladennamen gedacht, sondern für Gebäude die einen Namen tragen, den man für Anschriften verwenden kann. Beispielsweise haben in Österreich viele Privategebäude mit Ferienwohnungen einen Namen. (Bsp: way/142272622) Hier sollte man nicht die Daten an den Verarbeiter anpassen, sondern mal bei OsmAnd anfragen, ob man bei multiplen Hausnummern nicht auch den normalen Namen (name=) mit ran schrieben kann. Auf Github kannst du das tun. Wäre übrigens eine sehr gute Idee.

I’ve drawn more than 7k buildings by hand and added more than 1k adresses, so I know how you feel. JOSM takes some time to get used to but it’s a worth learning. In the past we have seen a lot of bad and good imports. Doing good imports isn’t as easy as it sounds. But asking the citiy for some data is allways great. You could use this data as a background as an indicator for where things might be missing. (Like the “Hausnummernauswertung” (house number analysis)[http://www.regio-osm.de/hausnummerauswertung/] You work looks good. Keep it up ;) Maybe try to spur you friends to help you. Or you could start a local mapping party.

For short term situations is use the temporary tagging scheme (just a proposal and is not yet supported by data consumers but I consider it quite useful osm.wiki/Proposed_features/temporary) Even if you forget to delete the tag again, it won’t cause much harm. If there is not end_date set every data consumer could still assume that it’s only temporary and that it is unlikly that the feature is still acitve after two month [consumers could set timelimit based on length or other parameters] (Editors could give a warning if the time limit is exceeded) If there are construction sites that last for more than one month I draw them as such.

I’ve read that the developer version of OSMAnd is going to have daily updates.

Before I even really started I noticed that you are using Google Maps and Bing. I’m worried that OSM might run in to trouble if we use GMaps in your service. Is there any form of permission to us GMaps for your service/OSM?

Taginfo offers a tool to find those misspelled things: http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/reports/similar_keys At this time a report for the number of used keys was introduce, too. http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/reports/historic_development#num_keys As You can see in the graphic. After the tool has been published in March (http://blog.jochentopf.com/2015-03-05-new-taginfo-features-and-a-challenge.html) there was quit a nice drop. But people starting to forget the tool and the numbers are rising again.

In these case I like the temporary proposal (only draft): osm.wiki/Proposed_features/temporary so this would be temporary:highway=construction + temporary:date_on=…/temporary:date_off=… (if known) I like this scheme because it’s easy to use and I think it’s easy for data cosumers.

I hope more mappers and routers are going o support it in the future

I think having the contribute action later might be not that bad. If the user reporte a problem and corrected it by himself afterwards Mapbox still knows there was an issue an could control the changes the user made. (Don’t know if this is already happening) In my opinion the feedback possibility is quit useful for OSM.

Gleich noch was =) Umfragen bei denen man mehrere Antworten wählen kann oder nach Wichtigkeit ordnen (beispielsweise gut für Umfragen wie diese: http://osm.haraldhartmann.de/umfrage/poll/10) Möglichkeit zur Übersetzung ;)

Schon ein paar mal genutzt, aber jetzt ist mir grad was aufgefallen (liegt daran, dass jetzt so viele Umfragen vorhanden sind) Es wäre schön, wenn bereits beantwortete Umfragen markiert würden.
