You can get someone "important" to rollback changes if you ask on the mailing lists (or IRC).
This summer there will be major changes in the background (API upgrade), from what I remember there will also be a much better version control then.

If you have a dataset and the (explicit) permission to import it to OSM, there are ways to automate this. Ask on some mailing list then.

In JOSM you can add nodes by their location (Shift-D) and I am pretty sure you can edit nodes' locations too.

Auch 7zip (bestes Programm für sowas!) kann TAR "entpacken". .tgz ist TAR & GZip. Anscheinend "un-gzipped" 7zip das erstmal nur.

I have one too and just want to make you aware of some nasty thing:
If you set the logging "wrap when full" to "no" it will set disable logging once the memory is full. If you then empty it, you will have to manually enable logging again. (Or something like that.) I once had a 3 hour trip for nothing (well, except fresh air and fun) because of this. :)

I agree about the scroll-zoom being too slow. With ALT it is perfect for me.
Also I agree that snapping to the zoomlevels would be great. The soft zoom is a sweet effect (always missed it).

(I never knew about the Shift-Drag zoom selection for the normal slippy map, that is awesome.)
When holding Shift on yours I get rectangles being drawn and no way to stop them. :)
