New Cross Gate beer induced ideas

I really like the landuse completion project idea.

Can I use this openstreetmap for Garmin Etrex Vista HCX?

Searching the Wiki for it would have easily given you:
osm.wiki/index.php/OSM_Map_On_Garmin

;-)

Beim Alten Gaswerk, Hamburg

That looks great, nice work!

not_in_map-feature

Ich nehme einfach highway=footway für alles, was begehbar ist und als Fußweg gedacht ist, also auch Wege im Wald etc.

programiersprache

Ist doch nicht so schwer zu finden:

not_in_map-feature

Oh. :(

Jakarta

Nice! Welcome aboard. :-)

I'll see if I can put aside some time on the weekend to map some streets from Yahoo images.

Mapping Protection Island, in the Nanaimo Region, BC

Yarrrr, must be great to grow up in such place and play pirate. :-)

Fh

@HannesHH und auf "add as friend" klicken. Keine Ahnung, was es bringt. :-)

"Die Zeit" über unser Ouaga-Mapping

Starkes Gefühl oder? Am verlinkten "Hamburger Elbstrand" hab ich viel gemacht, das war wirklich mal was zum Stolz sein. :-)

What a cool site

Welcome aboard, you could also add your favourite spots to pass out in late saturday nights. ;)

update causing big gaps in map

Don't worry, it is not your fault. There is a bug in the rendering sometimes. It will resolve itself somewhen. :)

Openstreetmap developer needed!

osm.wiki/index.php/OpenLayers is what you are looking for I think.

Something new...

That's fantastic!
Would there be a chance to make the "changed" more detailed as in "tags changed" and "nodes changed"? Itoworld's osm monitor thing lacks that and thus is not too useful for me anymore. I am more interested when people move ways/nodes than if they change tags.
Anyways, this will be a great tool.

Potlatch of deleting

Obviously this means we can blame Potlatch for the spam!

Heh. :p
If you need another hand to weed through spam, I could do that.

Wondering how to start contributing

Here you go: osm.wiki/index.php/Beginners'_Guide
Welcome aboard and have fun!

Node gluttony for areas

Right, I just spent an hour browsing and searching the mailing lists and read up on this.
This seems to be the "best" discussion of it http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2008-May/026305.html

It all boils down to this: http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2008-May/026326.html
"This is one of religious discussions - both sides KNOW they are right,
and no amount of discussion is going to change things. Unless we have
a central decision making force of some sort lay down the law, (in OSM
- hah!) you'll continue to see things mapped both ways."

So I will add an disclaimer to my post and happily continue mapping and advertising to map like this.

Edits and discoveries

Yes, you can edit it. In JOSM the "unglue node" tool might be what you are looking for.

Node gluttony for areas

Uh-oh. :(
