According to my interpretation of https://denieuwevesten.mechelen.be/de-vesten-vandaag/het-volledige-circulatieplan there is another new dead end at the end of the Korte Schipstraat now.
Unfortunately the resolution of the map provided isn't great. Hopefully someone local to the area can confirm.

Bezocht 10 aug'24 : aan deze zijde bord "Rottweiler Training Center / Hondenclub IGP / Betreden op eigen risico" met als adres : Grote Baan 55, 9250 Waasmunster; trainingsuren zat. en zon. 11u, plus twee avonden laat weinig ruimte voor voetbal?
voetbaldoel aan Riemeersstraat, doch zie op https://www.voetbaladres.be/ geen adres voetbalclub aan Grote Baan of Riemeersstraat;
daarmee is de vraag betreffende pad en poort nog niet beantwoord

There was a fence here, certainly not accessible by vehicles (or bikes). Not sure if this is a path at all.
