Do these paths really not connect?

Strava heat map contradicts current OSM data. OSM shows footpath "8" curves to the west, but Strava shows a strong path heading due N/NW in a straight line towards the shore.

Strave heatmap shows this as a fork that splits here before rejoining. Only one side is in OSM

Strava data indicates there may be a path continuing here along the river and connecting back to the greenway, but not sure if that's just people going off trail

Is there a footpath here connecting the road to park? Strava heatmap indicates a connection, but can't remember from the last time I was here if it is official enough to enter into OSM

These park paths could use re-validated. I made an update based on what I remembered, but I didn't take enough notes when I visited.
