OS Open Roads and addresses used by local businesses both use Market Place for the wee stretch of road between the Cattle Market and the New Street junctions. OS Open Roads names the main road between the New Street junction and where Middle Row begins as Market Place (there's no addresses directly on this stretch of road). Then some addresses suggest the stretch of road on the west of the car park - from Sainsburys up to the dry cleaners as Market Place - which would make sense with the property numbering. OS Open Roads call this stretch Market Street. Thoughts? |
