surface=tarmac? is it an actual tarmacadan? In such case surface=tarmacadan may be a better less confused term (tarmac is widely used for asphalt and concrete surfaces)

This is called Mottram's Beach, as you can see from the map at the top of the National Trust carpark up the hill. Ringsted Beach is on the otherside of the breakwater.
