Tip: when entering street addresses in the editor, just use the pull down to select the correct street. That way they are always spelled and formatted correctly. In this case, OSM does not abbreviate street name and only capitalizes as appropriate or shown on signage.

That makes sense and I never thought to look at the relation.

I'm curious why delete the wikipedia/wikidata tags. The wikidata seems correct but I'm not sure about the wikipedia

The bounding box is an issue with MAPS.ME not this user. The app should prompt the user to upload before allowing new POI's to be added in a new geographic area.

Yes - it should have been 93616781. Thanks for catching that.

Tip: crossing nodes should be at the intersection of the crosswalk and the road. I went ahead and made the move.

If you want more information on sidewalk mapping check out sidewalks.com or my blog on how to edit sidewalks at https://www.snowandsnow.us/articles/Mapping-Sidewalks-iD/

Thank you for your edit. I reviewed your work and it looks good.

Thanks for doing this. I know people are working on a trail from Spokane to Lewiston via Pullman - I suspect this could easily be part of the same system.

The edit looks good. I would recommend highway=footway. highway=pedestrian implies that it can be used for vehicles. We use British English in OSM which can cause some confusion for us US english speaker. A Footway is usually a paved place to walk. If it's next to a road, then beside highway=footway also add footway=sidewalk.

BTW - If you add trails, then it's highway=path.

I'll send you more information in a message.

Tip: You had it correct before. The unit number should be in the tag addr:unit and the housenumber should not include the unit number.

Thanks for the update. Too bad the imagery isn't more recent. I did ask the city of Camas for drawings to help add the complete roundabout.

Tip: Don't assume the road is not aligned - it might be the imagery is offset. The editor allows you to adjust the imagery offset. Look on the right side of the editor to adjust the offset if needed.

Tip: When adding separate sidewalks, tag the section between curbs as highway=footway + footway=crossing. You can also add crossing=marked/unmarked.

Nice to see another glass artist on OSM. I learn at Pratt Fine Arts in Seattle. Welcome to OSM. I send you more information on OSM in a message.

Tip: building outlines should match what is on the imagery.
Tip: square buildings by selecting their outline then just type a "q"

Can you clean up these buildings to match what's on the imagery?

Just go to the wrong location and edit the tags to remove the name. Can you point me to the wrong location? I searched on "The Caarwash & Detail" in all of OSM but didn't find another listing. I'm happy to fix it.

BTW - I plan to have my car detailed next week but unfortunately I'm in Mount Vernon, WA.

93204626 about 5 years ago

Your changeset comment indicated there is another location for the carwash. Can you update the tags on that location to remove it? Let me know if you need help.

Also building=service would indicate this is a small building that contains working machinery like a pump station. I'd recommend building=retail.

Tip: if the address didn't change, it's best to leave the address.
Tip: OSM spells out street names. Reason - software has a hard time unabbreviating names.

We discourage use of personal names to safeguard the privacy of individuals. If the house is named then it would be acceptable to name them in OSM.
