Changeset When Comment
138121693 over 2 years ago

This app requires that I review everything as good or bad. There is no in between. When I mark it as bad, it may only be that it doesn't fit the OSM tagging scheme. I'll leave a changeset comment with what I found.

You accidently changed the road into a very long gate. I'm sure it was unintentional. I reverted te chagneset.

The county shows this as a public road, although it appears to be on private property. You could add a operator= to show who maintains the road.

If you are trying to add a gate, just use a node on the road where the gate is located.

Let me know if you need assistance.

You didn't respond so I reverted this changeset. aeroway=jet_bridge is the correct tag for the jet bridge.

#TIP: OSM was started in England so we use British English spelling and tags in OSM. What we call a sidewalk is a footway. What we call a trail is a path. Can you review this edit to make sure the right tag was used to describe it?

#TIP: draw buildings to match the roof outline. Then square the building by just typing a "q"

#TIP: you don't need to add a seperate node when the business is the sole proprietor of a building. But if it one of many then just add a node inside of the buildings.

#TIP: when adding business, please also add a tag to describe the business. For example Oasis Hair Salon could be shop=hairdresser

I'm reverting this changeset because the two building were redrawn not matching the aerial imagery which you used. Also the layer=-1 seems strange. Can you redo this edit? I'll send you more info in a DM

Thank you for your edit. I reviewed your work and it looks good.

#TIP: we typically add the bus stop name as found in the transit companies listing.

Typically polygons are used to describe nature reserves. I'm happy to help add the boundaries, just let me know.

Technically the US doesn't have any living streets as OSM defines them.

#TIP: square buildings by selecting the outline then just type a "q" - they will look much nicer - also use the roof outline as a guide.

Is this no longer called Crescent Valley Watershed? If so just remove the name tag. Using a descriptive name in OSM is discouraged.

As long as the path is easily verifiable it can and should be in OSM. If the path isn't open to the public then it should be tagged with access=private

Good to hear from you as well. And yes, Methow Valley should be great - except if we have wildfires. Then not so much. We've been there a number of times and love it. However, because it's so expensive to live there the businesses have a hard time hiring help. The help can't afford the cost of lodging over the summer.

I'll have my dashcam running so I can travel both routes for a distance. (We actually come in from the west to Winthrop but Twist is just up the road a piece.) Unfortunately this is just a short two day trip so we can explore more.

I have good contacts with WSDOT if you need any help. My friend works on accessibility projects so I'm guessing she works around people that do bike routes.

best

I'm going to be in Winthrop in early July. Is there anything I can do to help?

I'm guessing you wanted to indicate that there was a bridge across a stream on 140 Access Trail. Use ford=yes for a trail that crosses a stream. Or bridge=yes + level=1 for a bridge across the stream.

piers are basically what we call docks in the US. OSM uses British English for tags since OSM was started in England.

Can you update the nodes?
