I'm wondering whether religion=none is the appropriate value for non-denominational schools, since technically they aren't non-religious...

Hi, are you able to link me to the planning document that you used for mapwarper?

Thanks for the reply (I've reverted it). In this case if you check the history of the way you can see someone changed it from construction to residential (as in, the road is now open) 12 months ago.
So I think you've wrongly assumed that the highway/construction tag mismatch means that the road is still under construction. In my experience it is usually the opposite - construction=residential with highway=residentially is normally because someone has forgotten to delete the construction tag! :)
Worth checking other imagery to confirm, as Esri shows cars parked at these houses and OS OpenMap shows it as open.

There's four buildings around way/77199789 showing on aerial imagery but not on the map - have these been demolished?

Hi, I've removed the craft tag and name as there's already an area for the distillery way/406644353

Thanks, I'd spotted the school was missing a name from this page: https://osm.mathmos.net/schools/progress/TD/ - might be worth having a look on there for others or those which are no longer open?

No, as that would be osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer
What should happen is osm-carto needs to fix it so that ref is rendered instead of name, as per this issue: https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto/issues/3271

Any chance you could move these buildings back to where they were?
Unfortunately the Bing imagery is usually out of alignment - so you need to turn on the OSMUK Cadastral Parcels overlay to help fix the offset before editing.

Notice you've adjusted the junction at Drayton Court. Unfortunately the roads are now misaligned with existing OSM data, as the Bing imagery seems out of alignment here.
Please can you use the OSMUK Cadastral Parcels overlay to help fix the alignment with the imagery offset tool before editing. :)

If a road/path is under construction it's better to be tagged highway=construction rather than footway + access=no. Makes it clearer that it's not yet open, with a single tag. Also means that's if a data consumer misses the access tag they can't be mispresented as actual paths.

Thanks for adding the cemetery - however I've had to fix it as it was out of alignment with the existing OSM data. Just be aware that Bing imagery is usually slightly out of alignment, so you should use the imagery offset tool in the background settings to move it to match the current data and/or the OSMUK Cadastral Parcels overlay :)

Fair enough - I haven't surveyed it so I was just going by the image here: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=404493401006027 and the wiki kerb=* - feel free to change it back :)

The section of Lade Braes Walk at the viaduct is a core path so cycling is allowed - but I've removed the bicycle=yes from the other bits.
node/1479431801 is a highway=crossing and unless something has changed recently it's also kerb=flush :)

109840815 over 4 years ago

I've changed all of the paths to highway=construction + construction=* instead, and removed the bridge from the canal as there's already a tunnel below - it's either one or the other :)

Hi, just want to check - is the contraflow cycle lane on the west or east side of Queen's Gardens?

107160370 over 4 years ago

Hi, thanks for adding the buildings here (and elsewhere in Ayrshire, great work!) :-)
However I couldn't help but notice you had drawn them from the Bing imagery. Unfortunately that makes them out of alignment with most of the OSM data and GPS traces.

If your turn on the "OSMUK Cadastral Parcels" overlay you can then use the imagery offset tool in the background settings to move it to match the blue lines. The "old" Bing imagery is now shown at Esri (clarity) and you can see how that more or less matches the cadastral parcels and OSM data.
