Changeset When Comment

Yeah saw that on your diary post. :)
Noticed someone had done it in Glasgow using the old OS maps: way/554343566 - of course it may not be the precise route but I think it's good enough

There was a discussion about this when the relations were initially added: changeset/74330916 - don't think it should be tagged as an NCN

It's obviously not a tunnel but does the path connect across the road to the garden centre?

83728239 over 5 years ago

Is there a plaque on the building with that information, as it could be added?

83728239 over 5 years ago

I doubt that is the name of the house...

Thanks, for 2) no worries, only asked as you mentioned a gate in your changeset comment and for 3) I've changed it to surface=ground

87244903 over 5 years ago

Hi, I've changed this from a path to steps: way/820379152
Is this actually a cycle barrier or a gate? node/2029689780/
You've tagged this path (and the one on the other side of the steps) as surface=path - what is the actual surface type? way/820376983

Hi, I've split the roads and added some bridges - just adding the bridge areas isn't enough :)
It only leaves this way crossing the A49, so either it'll need to be a tunnel or the road will need to have a bridge added.

Hi, welcome to OSM and thanks for the edit. Are you able to tell me more about the custom background imagery that you've used here?

87049821 over 5 years ago

Generally, usage of highway=cycleway in OSM is for shared use paths (in Scotland anyway) - as by default foot=yes is implied everywher. This tagging is used all along various towpaths and other shared use paths - so I don't think it make sense to only change the bit around Linlithgow.
(Technically the towpath is a core path which means all non-motorised users have access if exercised responsibly)
Not sure what you mean about the Strava routing?
Thanks for adding the surface though :)

Thanks for the reply. It's just you marked the track connecting two fields as access=no, but that won't have any affect on the main east/west track. Is there now a new gate at this location or maybe it was this one nearby that is locked? node/1039462948

87208876 over 5 years ago

Hi, welcome to OSM. Just want to check, is there now a gate here? Can you still walk this route? osm.org/directions?engine=graphhopper_foot&route=56.08855%2C-3.26822%3B56.08757%2C-3.27013#map=18/56.08814/-3.26850

Hi, what's the reason for changing the towpath from a cycleway to a path?

85984800 over 5 years ago

This has been reverted - the circuit is public roads most of the year and should not be changed to raceway just so it shows up on the default renderer. relation/6942508

86593362 over 5 years ago

Hi, welcome to OSM.
The circuit is already represented by the relation relation/2126739 therefore I have reverted your changes.

Hi, what is your source for this edit given none of the imagery shows the building? You also created a duplicate by not deleting this node: node/7281133706

86724151 over 5 years ago

Hi, welcome to OSM and thanks for adding this address. I've updated this building and added some more.

If you open the background settings (press B) in the editor, you can select "Esri World Imagery" from the list. This is more up to date imagery which shows some houses under construction.

As you are local then feel free to add other addresses, and any other completed buildings as well :)

Thanks. Agree with you when it comes to the National Rail stations, but on the other end of the spectrum is Glanyrafon which has no infrastructure and would seem to be a candidate to be a halt. Basically, what is the definition of a halt in the UK - is it only for use on miniature or narrow_guage railways?

Did you mean to add a butcher's shop here? way/813201681
