I don't think that not knowing a name from the foreign press necessarily means putting it in old_name. If I ask an Italian where San Maurizio is also known as San Murezzan in Switzerland, they look at me like a cow staring at the passing train 😂. If I say St. Moritz everyone knows where it is. And yet San Murezzan is in name: rm San Maurizio in name: it and St. Moritz in shot_name. StefanB, are you a local mapper? and you danieledvx? Who is a local mapper knows better than me, if they are names still in force or not.

From what I understand, they are names given after the "April War" and therefore of historical origin. The problem is knowing if they are still used or not. The wiki says that in old_name "The tag old_name = * is used for old / previous / historic name (s) for an element". The tag with the date namespace is also interesting
old_name: 1921-1932 * =. Who knows the real situation are the local mappers.
