Changeset When Comment
37048640 almost 10 years ago

Hi there!
I've changed a few ways with highway=paved or highway=unpaved to
highway=residential and surface=paved/unpaved.
See highway=*
OK?

Moin. Du hast hier die Wege mit
ref=St 2382 von highway=tertiary auf
das unübliche highway=minor geändert. Macht aus meiner Sicht keinen Sinn. War das Absicht?

Hi there and welcome to OSM!
I've noticed that you mapped a few ways as highway=track (or highway=tracks) in this area. Please note that highway=track means that the way is "for mostly agricultural use, forest tracks etc"
see
highway=*
I've changed those ways that I found to highway=footway, see
changeset/37055255

Well, there is no well established tag for traffic_islands, please check if landuse=traffic_island or traffic_calming=island fits better.

34621048 almost 10 years ago

Hi there!
I noticed the way
way/375136549
which is tagged highway=mini_roundabout
This tag is meant to be used on a node of a way crossing such a mini-roundabout, but what does it mean here? Bing seems out-agaed, so I guess it is some kind of traffic_island?

Hi there!
The way way/396293551
is tagged highway=mini_roundabout.
This is normally onöy used on nodes. Please check
junction=roundabout#Examples

Moin!

I don't know where the bay starts, and the wiki recommends to use either a node or an area, while JOSM complains about a way with this tag, see
natural=bay

OK, did that, see

If there is no real road named Vågavågen,
I guess the addr:street=Vågavågen is simply wrong. Maybe it is better to use addr:place=Vågavågen or remove it ?

Hi there!
I've noticed that you use the tag highway=unmarked_route
This is only used in New Zealand and I wonder what routing software should do with it. The changeset comment seems to say that the "highway" doesn't exist, so why do you call it a highway ?
Bing shows a line in the woodland, maybe it is just a
man_made=cutline?

Alles klar, viel Spaß beim Mappen!

Hi there!
Please check:
what was meant with lanes=-2 here ?
way/395176348
This way has no tags:
way/395176351

Hi there!
What was meant with historic=ser here?
way/255420893
Did you mean highway=service ?

36959871 almost 10 years ago

I don't know, because I am not a local and Bing doesn't show any details in this area. Just keep on mapping and see what happens with your data. Happy mapping!

36959871 almost 10 years ago

Oh, sorry, I think in JOSM you have to enable the expert mode to use that api.
You probably should not do that as a beginner.
Reg. the link: You should see a button like "Execute" or "Ausführen" in the upper left corner, press it and then use the buttons to zoom on the data.
In case that doesn't work here are the links to the two ways:
way/395601572
way/395051348

You can use the new "download from overpass api" in JOSM. The query would be type:way and highway=yes .
You can also use this link:

Hi there and welcome to OSM!
Please check:
What was meant with highway=2 ?
way/395665635
Was it a typo?
See also highway=*

36957742 almost 10 years ago

Hi there!
I see that you combine area:highway=*
with highway=* and area=yes, e.g. here:
way/394332149
I see two problems here:
1) highway=bicycle_road is only used here
2) the combination seems to be redundant, and area:highway=* is far more often used
What additinal information do you want to
map with this change?
