after I changed the closed road from the unusual highway=closed:secondary to the common disused:highway=secondary

to the common disused:highway=primary.
I've also updates the route relations.
There are several route restrictions on the old roads. I assume these are also obsolete now?

This key was not used in OSM before.

How did you find that?

I think the key disused:highway=* is for closed roads, and that's what you want to map, right?
