Major work underway to make the gyratory comprised of Broadway, The Grove, Great Eastern Road, and High Street into a two-way street. Changes being made to traffic lights and junctions with High Street, Angel Lane, Romford Road, and The Grove. Additional lanes seem to be on the way on G.E.R. (loss of some footpath?). Changes to bus routes too. Completion planned for 2019? But work being carried out in 6 phases. General idea here: https://www.newham.gov.uk/Pages/Services/Stratford-town-centre-improvements.aspx

From Monday 22 January until mid-May, we will be carrying out improvement work to pedestrian facilities, in partnership with Westminster City Council, along Wigmore Street.

Once completed, the work will deliver the following to help improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians in the area:
• New and upgraded pedestrian crossings
• Wider footways
• Advance stop lines for cyclists at a number of junctions
