this is the location of the newly built as of 2022 Carrabassett Valley Fire Department Mountain Station

this is the location of the NorthStar EMS Rangeley Rescue Base and has been since 2006 since NorthStar EMS's inception - NorthStar EMS is currently a division of MaineHealth and has historically been a department of Franklin Memorial Hospital with 5 bases spread amongst the ~2500 square miles of coverage area of most of Franklin County to the Canadian Border and a chunk of Oxford County over to NH and the Canadian Border as well as Somerset County off Long Falls Dam Road and all of New Portland in addition to Androscoggin County, specifically Livermore and Livermore Falls
