I grew up in Weingarten, in the County of Ste. Genevieve, state of Missouri, in the United States of America. It consisted mainly of Roman Catholic, German farmers. Population is 100+/- and shrinking. At one time it had it's own post office for mail service, Catholic (1st church burned down) and public elementary schools. Train tracks ran through the town having it's own depot with loading/unloading docks. My grandfather was born in Germany in the 1880s, we believe from the Baden area. He owned a fruit/vegetable wagon in St. Louis, Missouri in the early 1900s, which he traded, to his cousin, for a farm in Weingarten, Missouri. I suppose those cousins are the owner's of the Schilli Trucking/Transportation Company. They would "our" third cousins.
