Hi. About these mappings.
Area mapping is not required on this project.
Just buildings, roads , waterways.
This is an urgent project. Please focus on the required objects.
Best regards

Hi. A remark here.
Big areas mapping is hardly possible within TM4 because that is organized by mapping 1 task at the time.
These kin of mappings should be done on OSM with JOSM or another editor (not Ideditor)

I copy this text to you because it links to several documents which might be of help.

Here you tagged several traces as a highway=classified. Just map 1 trace coming from the west as an unclassified highway + surface=unpaved.
Use highway=path rather than highway=footway.
Only necessary to map these traces when they connect buildings/settlements.

Explanation can be found in this document what might be helpful to strengthen your mapping skills

Buildings need to be mapped as building=yes.

Not all buildings accurate mapped.

Many buildings not squared

Many buildings connected to each other by nodes.

Lot of buildings overlapped each other

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please be more accurate at buildings with extensions. You often just draw a rectangular.
About tagging highways.
Narrow traces (<2mtr) are no residential highways but Paths. Please map them
with that tag,
How to measure the width of a road in IDeditor:

Ctrl+⇧ Shift+M – toggle measurement panel Draw a line between the shoulders of a trace (zoom in very far) and read the distance.
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please read the highway wiki how to tag traces. You used 'footway' which is primary to be used as sidewalks or in park areas. Not in rural areas.
Just highway=path is sufficient.
Where paths cross each other, connect them with the nodes.
About the buildings. Don't forget to square them
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please check the width of a trace before you decide how to tag it. You tagged many traces as a highway=unclassified instead of highway = path
traces < 2 mtr should be tagged as path

How to measure the width of a road in IDeditor:
Zoom in as far as possible and draw a line between the shoulders of a trace and click
ctr +shift+M to shows measurements
click on the line between the nodes, and you get the width.
Best regards

Thank you for mapping. You have correctly identified the location of most objects and mapped . However, Buildings are often not squared.

Reminder: Please be sure to square all rectangular buildings with the Q key

Hi. A few more points.
Connect highways to eachother where it is obvious.
About buildings. Map more accurate please and square your buildings.
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping on this task.
A few remarks about mapping and tagging of highways.
A: Tracks never connect roads with houses .Use path narrower than 2 mtr.
unclassified for other roads
service, where a single road only gives access to a farm, building or factory/quarry
In rural areas, the tag residential is not to be used.
Please read the highway wiki. Link in the instructions.
Best regards and keep mapping

148866515 almost 2 years ago

Hello. Thanks for mapping
You tagged roads as highway=road, which is too generic.
Here, the most commonly used tags are:
traces <2 mtr wide: tag highway=path.
Other in rural areas : highway=unclassified.
Residential tag; only to be used in villages /towns
I adjust the taggings on this changeset.
Please use the correct tag in future mappings.
Be sure to connect parts of highways to each other with a node.
Please follow the outlines of a building precise. You mapped just a rectangular where buildings show an extension.,
and don't forget to tag each building
Best regards and keep mapping

Thanks for your contribution to this project.
This changeset is reviewed by a Global Validator to check that the tasks have been mapped in accordance with the quality standards of HOTOSM.

The tagging of highways is often not correct.
f.i. Tracks within farmland are paths or track, never unclassified.
When a trace is meandering through the landscape, and surrounded by green, it is mostly a stream or a river, like here.
Residential highways are not to be mapped in rural areas.
How to measure the width of a road in IDeditor:

Ctrl+⇧ Shift+M – toggle measurement panel Draw a line between the shoulders of a trace (zoom in very far) and read the distance.

About tagging of roads: Narrow traces (<2 mtr = path) should be tagged as path, others as unclassified when you are mapping in rural area
Best regards and keep mapping!

highway crosses over another highway.

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please solve the issues, reported by the issue triangle, before you upload your mappings.
When you map highways which should continue over the edge of your task square, please map it a bit over the edge, The mapper who will map the adjacent task can pick it up and continue.
