almost 4 years ago | Fixed it. I had missed a tiny line which still had the old tags; this has been resolved. Again, sorry for my error.
almost 4 years ago | Thanks for leeting me know. I will take a look and try to fix it. What I had attempted to correct was the shape of the City's boundary, which was incorrectly showing it extending east of its true extent.
almost 4 years ago | Hello, I thought I closed it properly; I will take a look in a few minutes. Thank you and apologies.
almost 4 years ago | Much thanks!
almost 4 years ago | I believe I did, but it was a very long time ago and so I truthfully do not remember. If I did not, I will do so ASAP. I now do what you said to do by default, and have been doing it by default since around the time you sent the original message.
almost 4 years ago | Understood. Apologies.
almost 4 years ago | Understood. I thought that since it was a divided highway, it was, but I guess not. Apologies.
almost 4 years ago | Understood. Thank you.
almost 4 years ago | Done!
almost 4 years ago | Also, there are some points which I cannot seem to disconnect as they are part of relations; I cannot figure out how to disconnect them. How can I disconnect them so the land use areas are separate?
almost 4 years ago | I will keep this in mind going forward and will be sure to unglue them while also keeping their shapes accurate. My apologies.
almost 4 years ago | Apologies again for my slow response. Both sides of Ridge Drive West between Ridge Drive East and Northern Boulevard (on both sides of Desmond Gallagher Green) are one-way southbound towards Northern Boulevard. I confirm this as someone who is a local.
almost 4 years ago | Hi again. Once again, I apologize for not responding in a quicker manner. I have been trying to respond to this message since you first sent it, and so I am glad that I now know how to do so. Ever since you sent me this message, I have been making summaries of changesets which are clearer and more detailed. I will continue to do this and try making them more unique from one another. You are right that it can become confusing and that I need to be more descriptive, and so I will be sure to do so going forward. Thank you.
almost 4 years ago | I apologize for not responding in a quicker manner. I have been having a serious amount of trouble figuring out how to find the option to comment/reply to messages and have finally figured out how to find the option to comment. Yes, I did intend on making such a massive land area (much of the Everglades area is missing and I was trying to add them since I believe that it is important for them to be rendered) but admit that I am not very familiar with that particular area. I appreciate the feedback. Ever since your message, I have been making much more detailed summaries of my edits. Again, my sincerest apologies for my delayed response, and I will keep in mind the excellent tips you have provided me with going forward.
almost 4 years ago | I apologize for not responding sooner. Many of those areas (such as in Flower Hill) are officially designated as parks. When I started editing, I tagged many as parks instead of grass areas and I am in the process of changing them.
over 4 years ago | I think that no matter what, it is important that the numbers still remain visible in tandem with the road names; I don't think it hurts but that's jut my opinion. The reason I say that is because many people have a difficult time in Nassau County figuring out who has jurisdiction of what road. When it comes time to making repairs or improvements, for instance, many residents don't know who to go to (i.e.: their town, their village, the County of Nassau, or the State of New York). So I feel that the more people understand our area's infrastructure and road designations/jurisdictions, the merrier (though that's merely my opinion).
over 4 years ago | As per the NYS Department of Transportation's (NYSDOT's) documentation, the route numbers are indeed in use. However, the Wikipedia article needs to be updated, as the numbers have changed (the numbers which I have entered on OSM are up-to-date). These roads are official but have been unsigned since the '70s simply because Nassau County opted not to spend the money to update their signs to federal standards.
